👩🏫At this year's International Studies Annual PhD Workshop of the Doctoral School of Sociology, doctoral students presented their research and received valuable feedback from colleagues working in the fields of international relations, human rights, and political science.

⚪️🟣Miklós Szabó (Department of Minority Studies, ELTE Faculty of Social Sciences) participated in the international online symposium "AI and Anthropological Pedagogies," organized by the AnthroAI research group at the University of St Andrews. At the event, he presented a paper titled “Anthropology Teaching in the Context of Generative AI: Classroom Experiences.”
The presentation was based on the results of an interdisciplinary research project supported by the ELTE Faculty of Social Sciences Incubator Program. The project is led by Miklós Szabó in collaboration with Professor Renáta Németh, Assistant Professor Annamária Tátrai (Department of Statistics), and Árpád Tamási, a PhD candidate in the Interdisciplinary Social Research Doctoral Program.

Sustainable transportation 🌱 infrastructure at the Lágymányosi Campus has expanded with a new addition: a public bike repair 🚲🔧 station. Installed with the support of the Municipality of Újbuda (District 11 of Budapest), the „Fix it and ride” unit is now available to help cyclists quickly resolve minor issues encountered during daily commutes. 🔅🔅🔅 The initiative was launched by Kata Czinege, assistant at the Financial Office, and implemented by the Municipality of Újbuda.

On May 7, the 2nd Student International Affairs Roundtable brought together student organizations and key initiatives—including the Student Union, ISAC, InSINC, the Stipendium Hungaricum Mentor Program, HEAD–ELTE, the Buddy Program—as well as the International Office and Vice-Dean Zoltán Gábor Szűcs-Zágoni for a dynamic exchange on student life at the Faculty of Social Sciences, ELTE. 💬
The roundtable created a platform for direct dialogue between student actors and faculty leadership. A joint effort is now underway to support the upcoming Orientation Day for new students, alongside continued collaboration to improve student life. 🌍
The initiative is set to continue at least once per semester, strengthening student voices and shaping shared priorities.
