📚 On Friday, 24 July, we gathered for another wonderful Book Club session, this time discussing Shooting an Elephant by George Orwell.

What began as a conversation about colonialism and power soon evolved into a deeper discussion about identity, authority, conformity, and the invisible pressures that shape our decisions. Orwell's essay reminded us that power often traps both the oppressed and the oppressor, leaving us with questions that remain just as relevant today.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, shared your perspectives, and made the discussion so thoughtful and engaging. Every interpretation added something new to the conversation, proving once again that there is no single way to read a great piece of literature.

We can't wait to see you at our next Book Club session. Until then, keep reading and keep questioning. 📖✨

We'll take train S12 tomorrow morning. It starts from Deli palyaudvar at 8:55 am and then goes via kelenfold, if it's more convenient for anyone, they can board it at Deli and the rest can join at kelenfold. I (Sumit) will be leading the group and will arrive at kelenfold at 8:30 am and share my live location in the whatsapp group. Please join the group using the link below.
If anyone takes the train at Deli, please let us know in the group chat, it will be better everyone gets in one car and the rest from kelenfold can also get in that same car to stay together for the journey to Tatabanya.
Mohammad will take the train from Deli and will share his Live location in the group when he arrives at the train station for others to locate him.
If you need to buy paper tickets, please be a bit early. And don't forget to carry a little cash for emergencies. We usually do not need any, but sometimes it has happened that to open toilet doors you need coins even at bus stops.
* Please bring sandwiches and energy bars.
* Make sure you have enough water and liquids for hydration. It's gonna be sunny and 28 degrees in Tatabanya tomorrow.
* Please wear shoes with a good grip.

📚 Our very first Book Club session is officially complete!

This time, we discussed Letter from an Unknown Woman by Stefan Zweig, and the conversation was everything we hoped for and more. We shared different perspectives, reflected on the characters and themes, and engaged in thoughtful discussions that made the reading experience even more meaningful.
What made the session truly special was the openness and enthusiasm everyone brought. It was wonderful to see people expressing their ideas freely and creating a space where everyone felt comfortable contributing to the conversation.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make our first Book Club meeting such a success. This is only the beginning, and we hope to continue growing this community of readers, thinkers, and storytellers. Here's to many more books, conversations, and memorable Book Club sessions ahead!
Thank you all for being part of our first chapter!!

Until the next book and the next discussion—happy reading!” 📚✨
