A magyar név Karinthy Frigyes nővére, Emília becenevére, Micire utal. A fordításban is fontos szerepe volt: Emília készítette a nyersfordítást, amelyet Frigyes formált a jól ismert, játékos magyar szöveggé. 🇬🇧🇭🇺

🍯 Winnie-the-Pooh turns 100 today!
British author A. A. Milne’s Winnie-the-Pooh was first published on 14 October 1926.
The photograph shows Milne with his son Christopher Robin and the boy’s favourite teddy bear. His son inspired the character Christopher Robin, while the bear inspired Pooh.
And why is Pooh called Micimackó in Hungarian? The name refers to Mici, the nickname of Hungarian writer Frigyes Karinthy’s sister, Emília. She also played an important part in the translation: Emília prepared the initial translation, which Frigyes shaped into the playful Hungarian text readers know and love. 🇬🇧🇭🇺
