FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!😊 Due to unforeseen and challenging circumstances, JAK’s doors remained closed until today. However, in spite of the widespread civil unrest and safety concerns across the country currently, we are praising our good God that students and teachers were able to start today. Please keep the country of Haiti and our school in your prayers. We pray our school will remain a safe haven and place of normalcy for our students to learn and grow in spite of the uncertainty and upheaval they face in their daily lives.

School is out for the summer! What an AMAZING year raising our students in knowledge, character and the truth of Jesus Christ. We are blessed beyond measure at JAK Academy and believe strongly that God is working powerfully in our students. Here’s to some good rest until a short summer school session starts in July! ☀️

“Teaching at JAK Academy for four years was a gift like no other. I got to be challenged and stretched not only as a teacher, but also in how I love my neighbors. I grew to love the Lord more in those years than I ever had before.

My Haitian students and co-workers taught me much about perseverance, grit, and that the Lord's mercies are new every morning.

Maybe instead of wanting some big push from the Lord to go serve overseas, we should shift our perspective and ask the Lord to make it obvious if we shouldn't. The biggest risks often have the biggest rewards. Take the risk, reach out and learn about how God is working at JAK Academy!”
