It is with sadness to announce the passing of Pastor Rogeste today. He was family, a prominent Leader in my childhood community and a great father to his own and many others. He was my first ever teacher in Pre-K and I can still picture him and remember his teachings 30+ years later(had me memorized my arithmetic tables at a young age). I was able to sit down with him a couple years ago and told him about my inspiration and wanted to use his students to start my organization in order to give back to my childhood community; without hesitation he said yes and was super excited on the idea and that's how ESLC commenced. I haven't been this sad in a long while knowing how great of a person he was to his family and his relentless commitment in helping the community through his schools and his Church. A true King indeed!!! Pastor Rogeste we will forever miss you and I promise to continue reaching out to the youths and help them pave their ways in anyway I can possibly do so. RIP as your beacon SOL will continue to shine through vibrantly and all your hardwork will continue to flourish.

After 2 1/2 months of teaching, ESCL will conduct the first assessment of the kids' level of comprehension and their progress on retaining what they've been taught so far. I am so proud of the work those teachers are doing with these kids. I cant wait to read the initial progress.

A big Thank You to Lakeland Christian Academy-Preschool in Lewisville, TX for donating all these great books and materials to the organization. It is such a blessing to have these materials!!

I am looking to get a few banners made for the ESCL Organization and looking for a good deal...so if anyone knows of such a place, Please let me know. I am looking at 8 1/2" x 2 1/2" and I already received a quote from Staples.

Once Again, thank you Lakeland Christian Academy for your kind donations to this great cause. These are some great materials that will teach the basics of the English Language and enhance other learning skills.

That's right knowledge is power...Teach them how to fish.

Yesterday we received a bunch of school materials from the Lakeland Christian Academy in Lewisville Tx for the ESCL Program to send to Haiti. It's super exciting when others believe in your dream and willing to participate. The first packages were delivered in Florida over the weekend and ready to be shipped to Haiti. I can't wait for these materials to get in these kids' hands. It's definitely a blessing to affect others in a positive way.

We will need a ton more materials so we can start expanding the program to bigger kids and adults, so please join us and donate what you can.
