Catherine Flon, with her hands and her heart, sewed together the first Haitian flag—removing the white, uniting blue and red—symbolizing a nation that would no longer be divided, a people determined to stand as one. And beside that legacy stands Claire Heureuse Félicité Bonheur, a woman known not for power alone, but for her compassion. Maybe she reflects the same beauty that rose from struggle and turned into pride.
Maybe she holds within her that same balance of strength and kindness—power and compassion—just like those women who helped shape a nation.

Because Haiti is not only a place—it is a spirit.
