Emmaus is a BEAUTIFUL place to be...in so many ways!
Université Emmaüs

On behalf of the entire Emmaus University of Haiti community, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Vern Henricks for his faithful service as President of our Board of Trustees.
For the past five years, across three terms as Board President, Mr. Henricks has led Emmaus with wisdom, humility, and a deep commitment to our mission and vision. Under his guidance, the university has navigated critical seasons of growth and challenge with courage and grace.
As Mr. Henricks reflects on this chapter, he shares:
"It is with a heavy heart, warm memories, and the joy of many years of friendship that I end my third term and fifth year as board president of the Emmaus University of Haiti. I am so grateful for this experience. All I ever strive to do is to make a small difference to make the world a better place for all."
We will be forever grateful for Mr. Henricks' leadership and for the countless ways he has invested in us at Emmaus.
At the same time, we are honored to welcome Mr. Bill Edler as the new Chair of the Board. Mr. Edler’s commitment to Emmaus and to Haiti is long-standing and deeply personal. As the last missionary to remain on the Emmaus campus during the difficult period following the COVID-19 pandemic and the tragic assassination of Haiti’s president, Mr. Edler has shown remarkable courage, steadfastness, and love for the Emmaus community. His leadership is marked by a servant’s heart and a deep passion for equipping Christlike leaders for Haiti and beyond.
Reflecting on his new role, Mr. Edler shares:
"I am humbled by this opportunity to be a part of what God is doing at Emmaus University. Please pray that He will help me as I seek to serve Him and Emmaus."
We are grateful for this transition of leadership and pray for God’s continued wisdom and blessing upon both Mr. Henricks and Mr. Edler. May the Lord guide Emmaus University as we continue to walk faithfully in His calling.
