Dear all,
recently my FB is loaded with advertisments from an account called CROATIAN WITH MIRSAD.
Beware of the guy as the moment he started speaking in Croatian it became apparent that Croatian is not his mother tongue - his pronounciation is that of a person whose mother tongue is English.
His consonants do not sound like Crotian ones at all, his rhythm is very un-slavic etc.
The production of his videos seems very professional, but this does not seem to match the quality of him as an Croatian teacher.
It is shocking that English native speakers have nothing else to do but scam their fellow citizens and try to take away the jobs from all the Croatians working hard to make our language accessible to foreigners.
When in doubt, ask locals to check the teacher you are considering!

Advertising my competitors because what they do is of high social value.
Would you like the company where you work to offer you a free Croatian language integration course?

The Croatian Employment Service co finances the course with up to 70%. A part of the Croatian language learning programme is also co-financed by the employer of the foreign worker, so you need to show this text to your employer!

Ako vas zanima povijest grada Zagreba, evo teksta na kojem možete vježbati svoje znanje hrvatskog
Bliži se službeni Dan grada. Tim povodom podsjećamo na alternativu:
DAN GRADA ZAGREBA TREBAO BI BITI 7. RUJNA

How difficult isit to learn Croatian for a native English speaker?
Difficult. :)
But difficult things are much easier in good company and with help of an experienced teacher 💪🏻

One more candy from my favourite page and its author - Easy Croatian:
"You're maybe interested how close Ukrainian is to Croatian. They are cousins of course, but as with all Slavic languages, some things are identical, others are very different. Still, some basic understanding is quite possible. I made three tables to illustrate similarities and differences.
Ukrainian is normally spelled in Cyrillic, so I've converted it to Croatian Latin spelling to show you the differences and similarities."
