With our Round Table discussion in Tirana successfully completed last month, next up on our O’visor journey is preparing for the Photo Exhibition taking place in Athens, Greece from February 25th - February 28th! We are excited to share with you all the lovely submissions we received during our photo contest and we can’t wait to share with the world how our volunteers were able to and still are making differences and strides in times of crises! 🤩💪

~ Sharing gratitude

💫 Now that our project ended, we would like to share our gratitude to the team who worked hard on making it possible.

🙏🏻 We would like to thank Vojta Žák and Yiorgos Vayiakis, who put their knowledge, talents and passions into the group and made sure that the content of the activities is impactful and helpful for the participants.

🙏🏻 Thank you, Ilias Giannopoulos, for greatly coordinating the project backstage, for taking care not only of the practical aspects but also of the wellbeing of all the participants. Thank you for giving everybody an understanding of how Erasmus projects work.

🙏🏻 Thank you Anastasia Kantanoleon, Iskra Dukova, Marta Maluva and Veronica Spagna for being brave enough to take the stand and facilitating activities for the group, making sure to create an amazing experience for all the people involved in the project.

🌏 CROATIANS AROUND THE WORLD 🌎

Maja participated in a training course in Lecce, Italy 🇮🇹, where she learned methods of how to use gamification to work with young people and have the opportunity to gain skills and knowledge in building and leading the learning process of groups while using educational games and gamification element.

Read below her testimonial:

"Buongiorno! Where to even begin when talking about my first training course in the beautiful city of Lecce in Italy? I really loved every second of it! I've met beautiful people who were supportive from the beginning till the very end. Throughout different types of activities, workshops and theoretical part, I've learned how to use gamification elements and educational games in working with youth. From energizers and team-building activities, through feedbacks and then to simulation/role-playing and treasure hunt/city-bound I've gained certain skills and knowledge on how to facilitate the learning process of groups that I will definitely use in my future projects. It was an amazing experience and I wanna say thank you to the trainers and to people I've met who became my friends.
Bella ciao!"

After the training course Steps To Connection, organised by Associazione EquaMente, the participants need to create a dissemination activity in their communities as part of the project that took place in Italy.

Petra Habulin organised and coordinated a workshop about non-violent communication at Ocean Znanja. Petra implemented methods learned in the training course with their volunteers, such as icebergs, 3 pillars and 4 components of non-violent communication, the practice of dyads and honest self-expression.

🌏 CROATIANS AROUND THE WORLD 🌎

Petra, Donata and Roma took part in a training course in Alpignano, Italy 🇮🇹, in which they learned about nonviolent communication. The aim of the project is to offer theory, tools and practice that are transferable to the youth workers´ everyday work and will contribute to building peaceful communities that are functioning based on trust and mutual understanding.

"1 application form + 12 hours bus ride to Turin + 8 days of workshops + participants from 8 different countries = richer me!

During the training course "Steps to Connection", I got a chance to dive into the world of nonviolent communication. I learned more about myself and people in general. I practised soft skills that will help me both in my professional and personal life. It was a week full of good food, nature and connection. I became richer in new insights, friendships and magical memories! But above all, I got inspired to learn more and become a better listener, friend and fellow human." - Roma Djurić

"I spent a week in Italy, in a small place called Alpignano where I, through Synergie, was a part of a project called "Steps to Connection". There we were taught about nonviolent communication, how to avoid conflicts and how to make our communication in everyday life easier. We had two professionals who made our week filled with various activities in which we really got in touch and understood better the importance of nonviolent communication. Everything was very well thought-out, in harmony and very fun! The people who went to the project as well were amazing, so we made new friends with whom it was very easy and pleasant to work with, but also to connect and make new friends. I would recommend this project to everyone and if something similar was ever to be organized again, I would apply once more." - Donata Bilić

"During the training about Non-violent communication I rediscovered my connection with myself, learned a lot about my needs and feelings and how to express them to the others.
