Dr. Časl's table tennis players won the Croatian Cup after a convincing 3:0 victory against STK Zagreb in the final of the Final 4 tournament played in Vukovar.
The Zagreb squad from Dedić thus, after the championship title, reached the second major trophy of this season, and the eighth Croatian Cup in the club's history.
Even before the start of the match, it was clear that Dr. Časl was the big favorite. Zagreb played in Vukovar without its best player and without a young Croatian representative, which made the job even more difficult against the most trophy-winning Croatian team.
The path to the trophy was opened by Mirela Đurak Blažičević, who defeated Dorin Srebrnjak 3:0 and gave her team the initial advantage. The legendary Ni Xia Lian improved to 2:0 by winning against Franka Miškić, also without losing a set.
The third game offered the most excitement. Szandra Pergel won against Sara Rivetti with 3:2, but the young Croatian representative put up a great resistance and was very close to turning it around, even up to the ball match against a more experienced opponent. Nevertheless, Pergel kept her composure in the end and brought Dr. Časl the victory for the final 3:0.
For the team from Dedić, this is another memorable season. At the beginning of May, they won the 13th Croatian championship title, and now they have added the eighth Croatian Cup trophy, confirming their dominance on the domestic scene.
Mirela Đurak Blažičević stands out, who with the new trophy further strengthened her status as one of the most successful Croatian table tennis players of all time. During his rich career, he won a total of 16 Croatian team championship titles, eight Croatian Cup trophies, a senior national champion title in individual competition, and five more national titles in women's pairs and one in mixed pairs. An impressive streak of success that continues.
Regardless of the defeat in the final behind Zagreb, it is the most successful season in the history of the women's club. In the 2025/26 season. they played two finals, but Dr. Časl was better both times.
Zoran Primorac, president of the Croatian Table Tennis Association, presented the awards to the best.
