Summer School of Science (S3, S3++)

Summer School of Science (S3, S3++) Summer School of Science is an international science workshop for high school students held every summer in Croatia.

It is also a network of former participants, supporters and people interested in science education in general. Summer School of Science (S3/S3++) is an international science workshop for high school students organized by the Society for Out of Frame Education and Science Education Center Visnjan. It is held every summer in a small Istrian town Visnjan (Croatia), and, since 2013, is expanded to ano

ther location in the town of Pozega (Croatia). School is organized around projects whose aim is to provide students with hands-on experience with science and scientific method in an informal atmosphere. Projects are lead by young scientists and/or university students. Beside work on projects, all participants attend lectures covering topics of general interest. Both project leaders and lecturers work or study at places of scientific excellence in Croatia and abroad. The Summer School of Science has two camps:

S3 (for grades 9 and 10)
S3++ (for grades 11 and 12)

Both camps are held in English and are open to international applicants.

Our calculations show many of you want some more time to apply. The solution? We’re extending the Summer School of Science application deadline to May 31st, 2026 at 23:59 CEST!

But don’t wait too long! We’ll start reviewing applications (and sending out interview invitations) tomorrow, on May 11th, so apply sooner rather than later to reserve your spot at this year's camp.
