Presentation of the Erasmus+ project ‘There is no difference in being different’ results
From 1st September 2020 to 28th February 2023 Gimnazija Sisak participated in Erasmus+ KA 229 project ‘There is no difference in being different’ (NODIF). The project, worth 53.520 Euros, was a cooperation with the partner schools in Romania and Turkey. The project carrier was Special Technological Highschool No3 from Bucharest, which educates hearing impaired students and the other participant was Merifon Atatürk Bilim Ve Sanat Merkezi from Merzifon, which is the center for students talented for Science and
Art. The project was planned to last for 18 months, however, due to pandemics it was extended for a year so it lasted for 30 months in total. During the first year, the project activities were held online through eTwinning activities and virtual meetings.
As a part of the project there were three students and teachers mobilities with planned project activities. Before every learning, teaching and training activity students had language, educational and cultural preparations. The first mobility was held in October 2021 in Merzifon, Turkey, the second in May 2022 in Sisak, Croatia and the third in October 2022 in Bucharest, Romania. Before students mobilities there were preparation activities, including research and presentation of the results on the eTwinning platform, as well as visits and conversations with the representatives of associations for disabled people and the local community.
The general goal of the project was the promotion of equality and inclusion through raising the awareness of acceptance and tolerance of social, language and cultural differences and during the project, students proved that it is possible to establish a high quality cooperation and work together on finding the solution
to the problem.
The representatives of The Association of Disabled People of Sisak and Moslavina County as well as the members of the press attended the presentation of the project results which were presented by the members of the project team, Mr Božidar Dujmić, the School Principal and professor Marina Kasa, along with the students who participated in the project activities.

The third students' mobility in ERASMUS+KA229 There is no difference in being different project was held from 16th to 21the October 2022. Thirteen students from Gimnazija Sisak stayed in Bucharest, Romania and for four days participated in project activities along with the students from partner schools. This mobility was called „We are different, so what?” and the emphasis was on accepting differences and promoting different ways of communication which contribute the inclusion and promotion of equality.
Students from three partner schools Special Technical Highschool No3 from Bucharest, Romania which is the project coordinator and educates students with hearing impairment , Merifon Atatürk Bilim Ve Sanat Merkezi from Merzifon, Turkey, which is the centre for gifted students in the fields of science and arts and General Highschool Gimnazija Sisak demonstrated the importance of sports for health as well as for connecting the youth while playing basketball, table tennis and chess. The students presented cultural riches and diversities of their countries through traditional dances and folk tales presented in the way everybody can understand – through pantomime. The last day of project activities was dedicated to childrens' rights so the students sent messages of peace, acceptance and tolerance through the workshop and creation of posters.
The goal of this project is the promotion of equality and inclusion through rising awareness of acceptance and tolerance of social, language and cultural differences for the target group of students between 10 and 19 years of age. The project is worth 53.520 euros and the estimated time of realization is from 1st September 2020 to 28th February 2023.

Preparation for the third students'mobility in Erasmus+ KA229 project There is no difference in being different
While preparing for learning, teaching and training activities, as well as eTwinning activities, 13 students from Gimnazija Sisak, selected for participation in the activities will stay in Bucharest, Romania from 16 to 21 October 2022 and participate in project activities with students from partner schools. As part of this mobility students had to prepare a Croatian fairytale and present it through pantomime, a traditional dance, sports activities and a workshop on children's rights. They have also attended language and cultural preparations with their teachers.

As the third mobility of the project approcheas fast (17-20.10.2022) all 3 partners prepare the activities: sports competitions, drama play, folk dance and childrens rights workshop!
Here are some peeks of their work in progress!
Drmeš is the most popular folk dance of the North-Western Croatia. It is performed in pairs as well as in the round formation. The two basic dance figures are when the dancers perform low jumps "drmanje" (that is where the name comes from) with minimal movements through space and the other when they spin at a high speed. It is inevitable in Hrvatsko Zagorje, Prigorje, Podravina, Posavina and Banija and very common in some other parts of Croatia.
