Ideje dr. Gabora Matéa su dio vrijednosti na kojima se temelji naša Harfa International School.

Mi u Harfi duboko vjerujemo da djeca najbolje uče kada se osjećaju sigurno, viđeno, prihvaćeno i vrijedno. Zato u našoj školi ulažemo u odnos učitelj-dijete jer znamo da gradnjom dobrog odnosa dolaze i izvrsni rezultati. Every great journey begins with curiosity.

For our PYP 5 students, the Exhibition has been a powerful journey of inquiry, creativity, collaboration, and growth.

Through this student-led process, our learners explored real-world issues that matter to them, researching global topics, sharing ideas, creating solutions, and taking meaningful action.

They worked together as thinkers, communicators, and reflective learners, turning their questions into understanding and their learning into purpose.

From the very first classroom presentations to confidently sharing their projects with families and the wider school community, each step of the Exhibition reflected dedication, teamwork, and passion.

The PYP Exhibition is more than a final project.
It is a celebration of student voice, personal growth, critical thinking, and the courage to make a difference.

On this day, we proudly celebrated our students as they completed their Primary Years Programme journey and begun an exciting new chapter in the MYP.

To our incredible students, continue to inquire, continue to dream, and continue to shine brightly as lifelong learners and caring global citizens.

'Okupili smo se upravo u vrijeme kada se zaključuju ocjene i kada se na djecu stavlja ogroman pritisak te se od njih očekuje izvrsnost. Pritom često ne vidimo njih same u tom procesu, ne vidimo kako dolaze do tog p**a izvrsnosti', kazala je organizatorica konferencije i osnivačica Međunarodne škole Harfa Irena Orlović.

Ovo je razlika između onih koji uspiju i onih koji odustanu 🙌🏻❤️
Rakitić je tata u našoj Harfa školi i jednom u razgovoru uz kavu je rekao koja je zapravo za njega najvažnija stvar za uspjeh:
„Kad je najteže, kad mediji pišu najgore, kad gubiš, ti se ujutro trebaš probuditi i ponašati kao uspješan. Kao da se ništa nije dogodilo.”
To ne znači biti naivan, to je karakter.
Rakitić kaže, najbitniji trenuci nisu oni kad sve ide dobro. Najbitniji su oni kad nitko ne vjeruje u tebe. Baš tada se trebaš skupiti i reći:
„Ja mogu, ne odustajem i nikad mi nije dosta.”
U svijetu gdje djeca sve dobivaju brzo i lako, naša najveća odgovornost je dati im tu motivaciju, da budu najjači kad je loše. Da znaju da smiju i zaplakati. Da uz teške emocije rastu.
Jer što god radili u životu, bit će teško. I to je u redu.

Mi u Harfa International School vjerujemo da obrazovanje nije samo znanje, već razvoj otpornosti, karaktera i unutarnje snage djece.

Some of the most beautiful moments during our visit with Bestie Split were watching the children interact with the animals.

With a little guidance, they learned how to approach the dogs and cats gently, how to be calm, and how to show care and respect. You could see their curiosity quickly turn into kindness and pride as the animals began to trust them.

Moments like this help children understand empathy, responsibility, and how small gestures of love can make a big difference — for animals and for each other. 📸

Little hands, big hearts. 🐾🎨

During our time with Bestie Split, the kids created a keepsake by dipping their hands in paint and pressing them onto paper beside the paw print of their favorite dog from the day.

They also made small handmade toys for the cats and dogs — something the animals could actually use and enjoy.

A meaningful moment of creativity and connection. Thank you Bestie Split for making this possible at Harfa. 📸

We had a wonderful visit from Bestie Split at Harfa! 🐾

The children learned about animal care, adoption, and how to interact with animals safely and respectfully. They were shown how to hold them properly, handle a leash, feed them, and care for them with patience and kindness.

A big thank you to Bestie Split for sharing their knowledge and for the important work they do supporting animals in our community. ❤️ 📸

Pink Shirt Day is a time to stand together against bullying and show kindness, respect, and inclusion. Students are encouraged to wear pink as a symbol of unity and support for a safe, caring school community.

Celebrating International Mother Language Day 🌍🗣️

Our students strengthened their ATL skills through meaningful IB learning experiences, working hard to prepare summaries of their languages, explore activities and spelling, and challenge one another with games and tongue twisters. Mother languages the students featured included Spanish, Croatian, Georgian, French, Ukrainian, German, and English.

A joyful reminder that language connects us, strengthens understanding, and helps us grow as global citizens. 💬✨
