Jan Ostrý
rođen je u Pragu, gdje je studirao na praškom Državnom konzervatoriju u klasi profesora F. Malotína. Godine 1992. započeo je studij na Nacionalnom konzervatoriju u Versaillesu kod profesora Ch. Rayneaua i J. Royera, a od 1996. godine bio je stipendist Francuske vlade na Nacionalnom konzervatoriju u Lyonu, u klasi prof. Ph. Bernolda i prof. R. Thuilliera. Tijekom svog studija osvojio je brojne nagrade na različitim natjecanjima te je pohađao velik broj majstorskih tečajeva pod vodstvom renomiranih glazbenika. Kao solist ili pak član komornih ansambla, nastupao je diljem Europe te na brojnim festivalima. Jan Ostry snimio je nosač zvuka komorne glazbe A. Rejcha i J. L. Dusika za diskografsku kuću Matous (za što je i nagrađennagradom The Critisc Prize – Tip Harmonie), zatim flautističke kvartete J. J. Rybea za Naxos, komornu glazbu Bachovih sinova te, zajedno s H. Schmeiserom, kompletno izdanje Bachovih sonata za dvije flaute u sklopu diskografske kuće Nimbus Records. U koncertnoj sezoni 1999./2000. bio je zamjena u Nacionalnom Orkestru u Lyonu kao solo flautist, a u sljedećoj sezoni solo flautist Norveške Opere u Oslu. Od 2001. godine redovito održava majstorske tečajeve Europske flautističke akademije u Fissu, a od 2003. i majstorske tečajeve u sklopu te u sklopu Kulturtage Neuberg. Trenutno je zaposlen kao profesor flaute i komorne glazbe na Državnom konzervatoriju u Pragu te na Umjetničkoj akademiji u Ostravi.

Jan Ostrý was born in Prague, where he studied at the Prague State Conservatory with professor F. Malotín. From 1992 he studied at the CNR de Versailles (prof. Ch. Rayneau and prof. J. Royer) and from 1996, he was a grantee of the French Goverment at the CNSM de Lyon, in the class of prof. Ph.Bernold and prof. R. Thuillier. In the course of his studies he gained prizes in various interpretation competitions, and has visited a number of masterclasses under the leadership of renowned musicians. As a soloist or a member of chamber ensembles he performed across Europe and also in many various festivals. Jan Ostry recorded CD’s with chamber music of A. Rejcha and J. L. Dusik for the label Studio Matous (won The Critics Prize – Tip Harmonie), flute quartets by J. J. Ryba for Naxos, chamber music of Bach’s sons and complete of Bach’s sonatas for two flutes with H. Schmeiser for Nimbus Records. During the concert season 1999/2000 he was a substitute as the solo-flutist in Orchestre National de Lyon, and in the season 2001/2002 the solo-flutist in Den Norske Operaen in Oslo. Since 2001 he has been regularly teaching at masterclasses of the European Flute Academy in Fiss and from 2003 at the Kulturtage in Neuberg. In this time, he is professor of flute and chamber music at the State Conservatory in Prague and in Faculty of Fine Arts in University of Ostrava.

Michel Moragues – flauta / flute

Francuski flautist i pedagog Michel Moragues ostvaruje iznimno raznoliku karijeru kao solist, komorni glazbenik, orkestralni umjetnik i pedagog. Od 1989. godine djeluje kao solo flautist (co-principal flute) Orchestre National de France, s kojim redovito nastupa pod ravnanjem nekih od najvećih dirigenata našeg vremena, među kojima su Leonard Bernstein, Pierre Boulez, Sir Colin Davis, Seiji Ozawa, Riccardo Muti i mnogi drugi.

Studirao je na Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris u klasama legendarnog Jeana-Pierrea Rampala i Alaina Mariona, gdje je 1979. godine osvojio Prvu nagradu za flautu, a 1980. godine i Prvu nagradu za komornu glazbu u klasi Christiana Lardéa.

Dobitnik je nagrada na međunarodnim natjecanjima, uključujući Guilde des Artistes Solistes de Paris i Međunarodno natjecanje u Budimpešti, a na njegov umjetnički razvoj snažno su utjecali i Michel Debost i Aurèle Nicolet.

Danas djeluje kao profesor komorne glazbe na Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris te kao profesor flaute na Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Rueil-Malmaison, a redovito održava majstorske radionice diljem Europe i svijeta.

Kao strastveni komorni glazbenik, Michel Moragues jedan je od osnivača međunarodno priznatog Quintette Moragues, s kojim nastupa širom svijeta i ostvaruje značajne diskografske uspjehe.

Kao jedan od najuglednijih predstavnika francuske flautističke škole, Michel Moragues svojim umjetničkim i pedagoškim djelovanjem inspirira nove generacije flautista diljem svijeta.

French flutist and pedagogue Michel Moragues enjoys an exceptionally diverse career as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestral artist, and teacher. Since 1989, he has served as Co-Principal Flute of the Orchestre National de France, performing under the baton of some of the greatest conductors of our time, including Leonard Bernstein, Pierre Boulez, Sir Colin Davis, Seiji Ozawa, Riccardo Muti, and many others.

He studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris with Jean-Pierre Rampal and Alain Marion, where he was awarded First Prize in Flute in 1979 and First Prize in Chamber Music in 1980 in the class of Christian Lardé.

He is a prizewinner at several international competitions, including the Guilde des Artistes Solistes de Paris and the Budapest International Competition. His artistic development was strongly influenced by Michel Debost and Aurèle Nicolet.

He is currently Professor of Chamber Music at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris and Professor of Flute at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Rueil-Malmaison. He regularly gives masterclasses throughout Europe and worldwide.

A passionate chamber musician, he is a founding member of the internationally acclaimed Quintette Moragues.

As one of the leading representatives of the French flute school, Michel Moragues continues to inspire new generations of flutists through his artistic and pedagogical work.

Vicens Prats

Španjolski flautist i pedagog Vicens Prats od 1991. godine djeluje kao solo flautist prestižnog Orchestre de Paris, jednog od vodećih europskih orkestara. U toj je ulozi surađivao s istaknutim dirigentima te nastupao u najvažnijim svjetskim koncertnim dvoranama i na međunarodnim festivalima.

Studirao je na Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris kao prvi španjolski flautist primljen na tu uglednu instituciju, gdje je diplomirao s jednoglasno dodijeljenom Prvom nagradom iz flaute i komorne glazbe.

Dobitnik je nagrada na međunarodnim natjecanjima u Kobeu i Barceloni. Uz orkestralnu karijeru kontinuirano razvija i solističku te komornu djelatnost.

Kao pedagog uživa izniman međunarodni ugled. Profesor je na Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya u Barceloni i na École Normale de Musique de Paris, a redovito održava majstorske tečajeve diljem svijeta.

Spanish flutist and pedagogue Vicens Prats has served since 1991 as Principal Flute of the prestigious Orchestre de Paris, one of Europe’s leading orchestras. In this role, he has collaborated with distinguished conductors and performed in major concert halls and international festivals worldwide.

He studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, becoming the first Spanish flutist admitted to the institution and graduating with First Prize unanimously in both flute and chamber music.

He has received prizes at international competitions in Kobe and Barcelona. Alongside his orchestral career, he maintains an active profile as a soloist and chamber musician.

Highly regarded as a teacher, he is Professor of Flute at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya in Barcelona and at the École Normale de Musique de Paris, and regularly gives masterclasses around the world.

SMAŠ 2025.
Četvrti i posljednji dan masterclassa Philippea Bernolda, Jana Ostrýa i Karl-Heinza Schütza u kampusu na Tvrđavi sv. Ivana zaključen je u nedjelju, 7. rujna, u izvrsnom raspoloženju. Puno se vježbalo i muziciralo, a neumorni profesori s velikim su veseljem radili s iznimno motiviranim polaznicima.
Vidimo se ponovno od 3. do 6. rujna 2026.!

The fourth and final day of the masterclass with Philippe Bernold, Jan Ostrý, and Karl-Heinz Schütz at the campus of St. John’s Fortress concluded on Sunday, September 7, in excellent spirits. There was plenty of practice and musical creativity, and the tireless professors worked with great joy alongside the highly motivated participants.
