✨ ANCHORING ✨

Anchoring often happens at the end of a long sailing day - after hours on the water, sometimes arriving a little later than planned.

Remember: anchoring is not something to rush. ⚓

A good anchorage deserves time and attention. It should never be underestimated.

Before dropping the anchor, we take a moment to read the spot:
the type of seabed, the depth, the distance from other boats and from the shore.

IMPORTANT:
as a rule of thumb, the chain length should be at least four times the depth.

Sometimes the anchor doesn’t set properly on the first try. And that’s normal.
So we lift it, reset, and try again - always calmly, methodically, often with more than one pair of eyes involved.

Because a peaceful night at anchor always starts with doing it right.

it’s time to aim for the RYA Day Skipper.

The RYA Day Skipper is an internationally recognised certificate that allows you to charter boats and confidently skipper them.
The 6 days course at White Wake Sailing will help you truly grow as a sailor: passage planning, decision-making and crew management - all in real conditions.

🌊 Join us in Croatia 🇭🇷, sailing from Primošten, and train in one of the most beautiful areas of the Adriatic with professional RYA instructors.

Neda 1 is our school boat, a Salona 44: fast ⛵💨, comfortable, and perfectly suited for learning how to sail.
Responsive on the helm, stable in all conditions, and with a clean, practical deck layout, she’s an ideal platform for real hands-on training.

For years, Neda 1 has helped our students build confidence and skills at sea 🌊, guiding them from RYA Competent Crew all the way to RYA Yachtmaster Offshore.

✨ Cooking on board ✨

And yes… we cook! All the daily activities you do on land happen on a boat too... just with less space 😅!

Cooking on a boat isn’t difficult - usually you are hungry enough that everything tastes great, and it always ends with: “I was really hungry!” Maybe that’s why it always seems so good 😜

Whether you’re a kitchen newbie or a seasoned cook, during our sailing courses you will learn how to turn a few simple ingredients into everyone’s favorite dish!

✨Did you know?✨
Sailors survived months at sea eating "hardtack", a very hard biscuit made of just flour, water, and salt. Not delicious on its own... but perfect if you had cheese, jam, or anything to jazz it up! ⛵🍴

That’s exactly what we often do on board - but with freshly baked bread from a Croatian bakery. Much tastier! 😋

✨ REFRESHING SWIM ✨

What's better than this? At the end of the day, after learning something new about sailing and anchoring in a beautiful spot, there's always time for a refreshing swim in the turquoise-blue waters between the Croatian islands.

🌊 Did you know?
The water appears turquoise or blue-green due to a combination of natural factors: sunlight penetrates the crystal-clear sea, water absorbs longer wavelengths like red and orange, while shorter wavelengths like blue and green are scattered and reflected. The light-colored seabed reflects these blue and green wavelengths, enhancing the vivid turquoise and green hues.

Perfect for a refreshing dive straight from the boat! ⛵💦
