Svaka terenska kampanja, na sreću, uključuje nepredvidive događaje i susrete koji obično proširuju stručne spoznaje, ali i obogaćuju duh ekipe koja radi u teškim uvjetima na velikoj vrućini. Istraživačka ekipa je tako dobila društvo u vidu jedne – koze! Pratila nas je od prvog dolaska na teren, pred samo čišćenje i promatrala iz daleka. S vremenom se sa sigurne udaljenosti uvjerila kako smo bezopasni te nam se pridružila i na terenu kao član ekipe koji ne propušta nijedan rani dan. Kako joj ne znamo vlasnika (ima ogrlicu), a Ložišćani ne znaju da je nekome odlutala koza, odlučili smo joj dati i ime. Samo se od sebe nametnulo – Loda, prema najpoznatijem pastiru Ložišća i inspiraciji Vladimiru Nazoru za njegov roman Pastir Loda. Loda nas redovno posjećuje, a ako joj znate vlasnika, javite!

Luckily, every field campaign brings some unexpected events and acquaintances that, usually, expand our knowledge and keep up the positive spirit of the archaeological team, that works hard in the heavy conditions under the sun. So, our team this year got some unexpected company, the goat! She has followed us and watched from safe distance from the first day, even before the start of the activities on site. As she was reassured of our benevolence, she has joined us on the site as the member of the team that does not miss one working day! As we do not know of her owner, and people of Ložišće do not know that someone is missing his/her goat, we have decided to name her. Right away, the first association was Loda, after the best-known shepherd of Ložišće and the inspiration of Vladimir Nazor for his novel Shepherd Loda. Loda visits us regularly, and if You know her owner, let him/her know where to find her!
