Here am I. Send me.
In the heart of La Mosquitia, we are building something powerful — not with million-dollar grants or international organizations, but with grit, love, and a calling to serve.
What an opportunity we have today. To bypass the bureaucracy. To bypass the corruption. To go straight to the need. To the people.
We’re bringing healthcare where it’s most desperately needed — remote villages where a doctor is a rarity and medicine can mean the difference between life and death.
No fancy campaigns. No overhead. Just one local doctor, some faithful friends, and even a few strangers saying, “We’ll help.”
Here’s what we’ve already done:
• Treated over 1000 patients in some of the most remote parts of Honduras
• Delivered life-saving respiratory care to children in respiratory distress
• Provided essential medications and chronic disease management
• Traveled deep into the jungle by convoy, foot, and dugout canoe to reach isolated communities
• Managed cases of malaria, severe infections, dehydration, and uncontrolled diabetes
• Provided prenatal care and support for pregnant women in villages parnering with local midwives
• Followed up with patients between trips, creating continuity in places where none existed
And this is just the beginning.
If you’ve ever wanted to be part of something real — something raw and life-changing — this is it.
Think about what we’ve already done.
Now imagine what we can do together.
Let’s write a story that matters. Let’s make a difference.
Come on. Let’s go. Let’s do this. 💙

Back to where it all began.
Weeks ago, I was invited to join a medical brigade heading into Auka, a remote part of La Moskitia. Of course, I said yes—I couldn’t turn down the chance to serve again. But all this week, I was wrestling with the question: How can I make it back to Puerto Lempira to join them?
I thought, I can’t ask for help again… people just helped me get here. But I had made a commitment!
Then, right before noon on Friday—bam—a GoFundMe transfer came through, just enough for me to make the trip. And almost like a sign, bam—a truck was headed out of the village in the evening.
So here I am, back in Puerto Lempira, ready to head into another part of the jungle to be part of this group that will be doing life saving work. This is the same group Peggy sent me out with two years ago. Full circle.
Thank you all for believing in this mission, and in me. It’s a beautiful story we are writing together.

“Why did You send me out here — into this jungle — where I have to keep begging just to help people?”
I asked God that question today.
I don’t have the full answer.
But I do know this:
Where there is need, there is purpose.
Where there is struggle, there is growth.
And where there is love, there is always a way.
These people need someone to see them and advocate for them.
Right now, I need to raise $200 by Friday to make it back to La Mosquitia — bringing critical medical supplies donated by Clínica Esperanza, Peggy Stranges. Supplies that people in Suhí desperately need. Supplies that could mean healing, relief, even hope.
If you’ve ever wondered if your small action could make a real difference — I’m telling you: it can. It will. It already is.

Even if you can’t give — your prayers, your shares, your encouragement — it all matters more than you know.
Thank you for believing in this mission.
Thank you for loving on the Miskito people with me.

He is Risen — and so is Hope!
This Easter, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude.
My friend Jennifer Palermo didn’t just bring Starlink to our remote jungle community — opening doors for connection, education, and growth for the Miskito people — she also gifted me a one way plane ticket to step out of the jungle for a short Easter break.
A true blessing at the perfect time.
Now, it’s time to head back into La Mosquitia.
I’m bringing with me desperately needed medical supplies donated by Clínica Esperanza, Peggy Stranges — supplies that could literally save lives.
But I need your help to get back there.
Friends, family, strangers, community — if you’re looking for a way to live out the meaning of Easter — hope, generosity, new life — would you consider helping me make it back with these critical supplies? Plan to head back as soon as I can raise the funds

🎶 My life, O Lord, I give to Thee,
My talents, time, and all;
I’ll serve Thee, Lord, Thine own to be,
I’ll hear Thy faintest call.🎶

You’ll never be able to convince me your friends are better than mine.
My friend Jennifer Palermo took a cargo truck deep into Suhi to set up Starlink—mission accomplished thanks to her uncle Peter Jurka’s technical skills and a trusty water filter. This is a huge deal not only for me but for all the people of suhi. She even jumped into clinic life while we caught up. Her generosity is so inspiring, go check out her work in Africa!
I also picked up boxes sent from Roatán by my friends Joe Gillis and Peggy Stranges. When the work feels overwhelming, God reminds me: I’m not doing this alone.
Getting out of Suhi? A whole other story. Flat tire 20 minutes in, a “less flat” spare, and a bike pump every 10 minutes to keep it alive—but we made it, just in time for the next ride from Nicaragua. That’s the kind of grit this place brings out in people.
Looking for 5 more people to chip in this month and make a difference for Suhí. If you’ve been waiting for a sign—this is it. Thank you to the five people who have already helped us.
The Miskito people and I need you. Let’s go.
Will you be one of them?
Because caring comes with responsibility. It demands action.
And when we act—even in small ways—we change history.

Every day, we see the power of compassion in action. Whether it’s a mother traveling for hours in a small pipante to get care for her child, a community member helping a neighbor in need, or the incredible generosity of those who support our mission—you are the miracles.
I truly need and am so thankful for good-hearted people as I endeavor to fulfill our labor of love to serve the Miskito people. Your kindness makes a real difference in the lives of those we serve along the Coco River, where access to medical care is a challenge. Thank you for believing in this work and standing with us as we bring healing, hope, and faith in action to the forgotten.

Good News: A Fetal Monitor is on the Way!
Thanks to the generosity of kind-hearted people like you, we now have a fetal Doppler on the way! This simple device will allow us to monitor fetal heartbeats during prenatal visits, giving mothers in La Mosquitia the care and reassurance they deserve. It’s a small tool, but its impact is huge—helping us catch complications early and potentially saving lives.
The reality here is tough, but thanks to your support, we can provide lifesaving care to those who would otherwise have nowhere to turn.
I feel incredibly lucky to be able to do this work, and even luckier to have your support in making it possible.
If you see the value in this work, we need and appreciate your support. With so much tragedy in the world, let’s do some good.

Help Us Bring Lifesaving Prenatal Care to the Miskito Mothers
Almost every day, we do prenatal visits for expectant mothers—but without the most basic tool: a fetal Doppler.
The first time I asked for one, the nurse looked at me and said, “We don’t have one, doc.” I was stunned. How can we monitor a baby’s heartbeat without a Doppler? How can we catch early warning signs of distress?
This simple $89 device could mean the difference between life and death for a mother and her baby. In the short time I’ve been here, I’ve already met children who lost their mothers during pregnancy or childbirth. And I can’t help but wonder—was that death preventable?
Mothers are the backbone of their families and communities. When a mother dies, everyone suffers—especially the vulnerable little ones left behind.
This is what being truly pro-life means: ensuring mothers receive the prenatal care they need to survive and thrive. Would you consider chipping in to help us get this tool for the Miskito mothers?
