Use our water resources in sustainable way.

去過米埔嘅人都知米埔有基圍蝦，以前米埔同事會將基圍蝦送到街市賣，但近幾年嘅冬季，米埔小隊都會夾手夾腳將基圍的水放乾，等啲水鳥大快朵頤；而剩低嘅大魚就會放番去后海灣，特別係以基圍蝦苗為主食嘅海鰱，以保障來年嘅產量！真係麻煩哂一班喺寒冬都要落水做野嘅野外同事！

Years ago, "geiwai shrimp" used to be sold at local Hong Kong markets. These days, the Mai Po Team drain water from the gei wais in winter, so visiting waterbirds can feast on the shrimp and small fish.at the same time, our field staff will transfer the big fish in the ponds back to the Bay, including the Ladyfish which preys on gei wai shrimp larvae, to ensure that there will be more shrimp next year. Please give a big “LIKE” to our field staffs who are working hard in the water in this cold weather!
