🌊 Parent-Child Canyoning Experience: Courage, Joy, and Teamwork at Ma Tai Stream! 🧗‍♂️✨

Nine of our adventurous Primary families gathered at Ma Tai Stream (馬大石澗) in Ma On Shan for an exhilarating Parent-Child Canyoning Activity before the Summer Holiday! Traveling together from upstream to downstream, parents and children navigated the stream side-by-side for a memorable outdoor experience. 🌿

Despite an unexpected downpour on that day, our families didn't hesitate for a second! Pressing forward safely together, they unlocked the true power of mutual support, turning this rainy challenge into a triumphant story of courage and shared pride! 🌧️💪💙

🚀 Reaching New Heights: Strategic Space Education Partnership with Sakha Science Academy! 📡✨

We were delighted to welcome Dr. Pavlov and Mr. Petrov, President and Engineer of Sakha Science Academy (SSA), to our campus in late August! As Siberia's premier gifted youth center, SSA previously joined forces with LA for our historic 2024 first HK student satellite build and our 2026 space-artwork transmission through slow-scan television (SSTV) operations. 🛰️🎨

Now, we’re taking things even further! After a tour of our new facilities, our guests joined a high-level strategy session attended by our Head of Science and Head of Academy of Academy. Presenting to the group, Mr. Alex CHING (Head of Learning Technologies) showcased our space situational awareness systems, while Mr. Anakin (STEAM Coordinator) pitched our new aerospace curriculum, further deepening our international academic exchange and strengthening school-based aerospace education at LA! 🌌✨

🌱 Year 1 Adaptation Parent Seminar: How to Cultivate Your Child's Confidence and Happiness

To support our young learners' smooth transition into primary school, we hosted our Year 1 Adaptation Parent Seminar in late August! 🌟

Guest speaker Mr. Remus KWOK, Honorary Consultant of City University of Hong Kong’s Positive Education Laboratory, shared positive psychology strategies to identify children’s character strengths and build a home culture of appreciation that boosts confidence, self-esteem, and happiness. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦✨

Through these practical insights, we look forward to strengthening our home-school partnership and working with families to build a nurturing foundation for every student. 💙

🚀 A Historic Milestone in Space! LA Students Experience the First HK & Macao "Tiangong Class"! 🌌✨

Earlier today, our students across all year levels tuned into the live broadcast of the exclusive "Tiangong Class" (天宮課堂)! 📡 Jointly organised by the HKSAR Government, Macao SAR Government, and China Manned Space Agency, this groundbreaking event marked the first national space lecture custom-tailored specifically for Hong Kong and Macao youth, turning the Tiangong Space Station 400 kilometres above Earth into a live classroom. 💫

During the broadcast, the three Shenzhou-23 astronauts, including Commander Dr. ZHU Yangzhu, Astronaut Mr. ZHANG Zhiyuan, and Hong Kong’s first payload specialist Dr. LAI Ka-ying, conducted mind-bending microgravity experiment demonstrations and engaged in a rare space-to-Earth dialogue (天地對話) with student representatives from Hong Kong and Macao in real time! 👩‍🚀🔬✨

This event brings profound inspiration to Hong Kong’s aerospace education, showing students that the cosmos is truly within reach. Having grown up right here on the same soil, Dr. LAI feels as relatable as the big sister next door, demonstrating that space science is not an unreachable dream, but a practical, step-by-step path. Her journey gives our students the ultimate motivation to boldly pursue their dreams and dedicate themselves to scientific research! 🛰️💙

Beyond science, the "Tiangong Class" connects Hong Kong students directly with national development and the future. It inspires our young minds to explore with perseverance as they work together to contribute to a brighter shared future for all humankind. 🇨🇳✨

✝️ Rooted in Love, Grounded in Faith: Education Sunday Service 2026 🙏✨

Yesterday, over 130 staff, students, and parents gathered in person and online for our annual Education Sunday Worship co-hosted with ELCHK Vineyard Lutheran Church, dedicating the new academic year to God! 🌿

Rev. Dvorah TIN shared an inspiring message on "Love Education (愛的教育)," reminding us to guide children with love, truth, grace, and justice, preparing the child for the road, not the road for the child. Chief Principal Dr. LAM highlighted our commitment to nurturing every student's unique talents through our school's diverse learning pathways. Alongside worship by our Spiritual Growth team, Summer Bible School students received certificates celebrating their faith and growth in God's Word! 🎶📖

Over the summer holiday, our talented student dancers made us exceptionally proud by delivering outstanding performances at two international dance competitions in Dublin and Singapore!

🌍 Dance World Cup 2026 (Dublin)
Known as the "Olympics of Dance," this massive global event drew over 120,000 young competitors worldwide, with only 11,500+ elite dancers representing 60+ countries advancing to the World Finals. Huge congratulations to our dancers for placing among the very best in the world:

🇳🇱 Empowering High-Ability Learners: LA Teachers Earn International Certification as Gifted Education Specialists! 🎓✨

Led by Chief Principal Dr. LAM, eight LA teachers traveled to Radboud University in the Netherlands before the summer break to round off their two-year Radboud International Training on High Ability (RITHA) program! Accredited by the European Council for High Ability (ECHA), this program officially certifies our educators as ECHA Specialists in Gifted Education! 📜💡

As part of their final certification, our team presented capstone projects designed specifically for LA's school context and exchanged best practices with educators at Dutch high schools, including Corderius College and Panora Lyceum. Additionally, Dr. LAM met with the Association of Giftedness Profile Schools, putting LA on track to become the first school outside Europe to achieve Gifted Profile School status! 🌍🏆

Equipped with these international insights and recognition, our specialists are now bringing research-backed strategies straight into LA classrooms, enhancing acceleration, AI integration, peer mentorship, and student well-being! 🤝🌟
