Simple setup with Play dough and color markers

Write down some color name to make a colorful stack with play dough boxes.

Painting Activities

There are many benefits of painting for children including sensory development, colour learning, fine motor development, exercising creativity, being able to express emotions and building self esteem. Painting is also a great activity to help teach concepts like shapes and letters in a fun and engaging way.

U just put some white papers and washable paint. Give some toys to paint.

Beans Sorting Activity

(in Adult supervision only please don’t leave ur child unattended. choking Hazard)

Sorting and matching things helps develop visual perceptual skills, thinking and memory skills.

Sorting and grouping things together is an important cognitive skill. It teaches your toddler to notice similarities and differences, learn to categorise, and develops early literacy and numeracy skills.

Material:

Any beans I used - Rajma, Chickpeas, white beans, macroni pasta, Bowtie pasta
Bowls

U model to ur toddler how to do sorting and then let them do.

Animals Sorting to their Habitat

Farm, Zoo , Ocean/Sea

If u have animals figurines dnt throw them away. Just make a simple learning activity so kids can learn animals home.

Setup:

I just mixed up all animals and make 3 sheets each for (Farm, Zoo, Sea/Ocean).
Now ask to kid pick up a animal and ask like that

1. Which animal is this ?
2. What color is this animal?
3. Finally , where does it live?

Make them confused u will have fun.

Material needed :

White paper
Colorful popsicle
Numbers
Color

Just draw some shapes on paper
Here I draw shapes using popsicle so toddler can match color
Later ask them how many sides that shape have or how many pipsicle u used.

Alphabet Matching Activity

Alphabet match is a fun hands-on activity for kids to help recognise and learn their alphabet letters. It is also a great opportunity to introduce upper case and lower case letters and match them in a fun puzzle like activity.

Setup:

I just put magnets alphabets (Upper Case and lower case) on the floor and we sing A BC song and put both cases on board.

Matching of uppercase to lowercase
Hand eye cordination

Farm Pretends play

I made a lil Barn with cardboard box and had a farm house setup with mega blocks .

Gather farm animals and books related to farm here I have 2 books

1. Welcome to the farm
2. Spot goes to the farm

I made some sticky notes with farm animals name and lil one have to stick them on that animal.

Skills:

Learning vocabulary
Learning of some simple words
Matching of baby animals to mommy animals

Lego Block color Sorting

One of the cognitive skills your toddler will learn in his 2nd year is recognizing and identifying colors. Children are capable of learning colors starting around 18 months old.

Sorting by Colour activity encourages the development of fine motor skills and provides children with the opportunity to learn and consolidate their understanding about Colors.

What You Need:
MegaBlocks, Legos, or any toys/items with different colors
Construction paper

Language/Vocabulary:

Hearing and talking about different objects (color names, paper, blocks)

Cognition: Learning and understanding new concepts (sort, match)

Multi-sensory learning: using the whole body as a hands-on approach to learning

Visual Scanning: Locating the colors that they need to match.
