保良局百周年中學創立於一九七八年，校舍座落屯門大興邨，是一所津貼男女英文中學，為保良局於新界創辦之第一間中學。一九八八年，政府代為加建三間課室，以應付擴班所需。九五年六月李兆忠基金撥款伍百萬元予百周年中學改善校舍及設備，全部工程於九七年八月完成。 　　

　　九六年一月廿二日，前教育署長林煥光太平紳士主持保良局百周年李兆忠紀念中學命名揭幕典禮，本校又遂邁進一新里程。在九六年八月，政府為本校進行校舍改善工程，擴建六樓，增加課室及設施，全部工程於一九九七年八月完成。
