Official Announcement: Postponement of GEC Egypt 2026

Dear Participants, Parents, School Partners, and Supporters,

It is with a heavy heart and deep regret that we officially announce the postponement of the upcoming Global Entrepreneurship Conference (GEC) in Egypt.

Over the past few weeks, we have received numerous inquiries from parents and schools regarding safety and travel logistics. We wish to explicitly clarify that Egypt itself remains highly secure, with local public safety and daily operations in excellent condition. However, the ongoing geopolitical conflicts in the broader region have directly caused a drastic surge in international airfares and created unavoidable logistical challenges for global travel.

After a comprehensive risk assessment, we have been forced into the difficult but necessary decision to defer the competition. As an organization, while we have full confidence in Egypt’s local security, the financial peace of mind and overall well-being of our international students and delegates must remain our uncompromising priority. This was an incredibly tough call to make, and we are deeply saddened that regional circumstances beyond our control have left us with no other choice.

Arrangements for Registered Teams:
For all schools and participants who have already completed registration, we are initiating a full refund process. Our team will contact you individually over the coming days to coordinate the logistical and administrative details of your refund.

A Message of Gratitude and Hope:
We would like to express our profound gratitude to the students, mentors, and institutions from Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland China, India, Taiwan, and Japan for your overwhelming response and unwavering support. Your enthusiasm has been truly inspiring.

Our hearts go out to those affected by the ongoing regional conflicts, and we join the global community in hoping for a swift, peaceful resolution. Once international travel stabilizes, we fully intend to bring the GEC back to Egypt to fulfill our mission.
