Kiaora Paewai whānau! Yesterday we had our Paewai Prizegiving. This is not a school wide event, just our own classroom with plentiful awards, some serious and some funny. Here are our amazing tamariki mā and their hard earned certificates 💕 👏

Good evening Paewai whānau,

Prior to our end of Enterprise game, we celebrated in Paewai with our very own Paewai Prizegiving.
This was not to take away from the amazing ākonga who were awarded last night at TFPS Senior prizegiving.
This was a chance for each student to be awarded some funny and some serious awards that were made specifically for them. We were lucky enough to have Matua Wright join us for some of the awards!
Here is a couple of pictures, although I was too busy giving out the awards to take photos during it!
If your tamariki hasn't shown you their hard earned awards yet, check their bag! 😂

Kia ora Paewai whānau!!

With challenge 7 and 8 complete, we finally found out what was in our box today! It was an envelope with a message to first figure out the eldest, the youngest, and the students whose age falls in the middle. Then these students were to collect something from the principal's office and bring it back. It turned out to be a bunch of presents! One for each of our Paewai students 🎁
But it didn't finish there. Once the box was brought back, we played a game of White Elephant Gift Exchange to decide who got what. Round 1 was a zero steal round because everyone was too tempted by the unknown. Then we did a 2nd round and the stealing of presents was on! Some students carefully chose what they'd take from their fellow comrades and others were quick to take what they knew they wanted. It was fun, it was loud, it was chaotic, it was exciting. Everyone got something in the end and everyone played well.
Well done my Paewai tamariki mā! ❤️ 💙

Here are some pictures of these last two challenges as well as the pictures from today...

⭐️ Please read this whole message! ⭐️

Kia ora Paewai whānau,
Today in Paewai our 4 speeches were fabulously delivered by our amazing tamariki. These guys have worked so hard this week to write, practise, and share their speeches. I am so proud of each and every one of them! Because they each completed their speech (in front of the class) they have enabled us to open the next layer of the box, presenting us with the next challenge to work towards for next week.
Here is a picture of them delivering their speeches and then opening the box (videos of the speeches will be sent to those whānau shortly).

This is the official last post from this page as we at Tainui are removing our individual pages. Any information that I would usually put on here will now be viewed from the main Tainui Full Primary School page. 🏫

Ngā mihi, Paewai whānau ❤️

Week 3's challenge was a huge success with only 2 students away on athletics day, we were able to open the next layer this morning!

Our next challenge only asks for 4 students (all of whom have been drawn) and they will be delivering a speech to the class next week Friday!

I am super proud of how our tamariki are tackling these challenges. You guys are amazing! Keep up the good work!

On a side note: our kids did amazing at their events today! A massive effort from each one of you! Congrats guys!! 👏 👏 💛
