🔊 First ever DJ Night At Chungking Mansions 🔊

🎉 Hosted by Diversity Hub and MÖTH Foundation: 🎉

🪇 As part of our Roots and Rhythms theme, we’ve prepared an evening full of cultural games, activities and music performed by DJs at the Diversity Hub in Chungking Mansions.

🥁 Crank up your ears to some cultural, RnB, 2000s, rap and house music uniquely weaved in together by our DJs of the night. Enjoy games such as Ludo, Chinese checkers and UNO - something that we all grew up with!

This event is hosted with the MÖTH Foundation, a not-for-profit social enterprise. As part of their initiative to making learning music more accessible, they also collaborated with Diversity Hub to offer free beginners DJ classes to ethnically diverse youths, students Saloni and our project executive, Vansh along with their teacher and the co-founder of MÖTH, Ahura will be performing on the night!

你上一次行入重慶大廈，係幾時呢？定係你同好多人一樣，每次經過尖沙咀，都只係喺門口望吓，但未曾真正踏進過入面？

其實「以香港為家」，可以有好多種唔同嘅形態；而人與人之間嘅連結，更加可以遠超一時一地。坐落喺鬧市中心嘅重慶大廈 🏢，匯集咗來自超過 120 個國家嘅街坊、商戶同旅人 🌏 喺呢個「小聯合國」入面，雖然每個人嘅文化背景都唔同，但大家喺同一個空間入面自成一格、又互相尊重咁生活，交織出香港獨特嘅多元文化面貌 🤝

過去三年多嚟，離散探索者 聯同多元文化匯館 同藝術團隊畫下嘢 舉辦咗多場「重慶大廈寫生團」🎨， 同參加者一齊行入大廈，用筆觸同訪談，記錄低呢個「小聯合國」入面最真實嘅街坊百態 🖌️

翻開呢啲紀錄，你會感受到畫作背後嘅各種故事，當中唔少老店更加見證住香港半個世紀嘅變遷 🕰️ 佢哋陪住呢座城市經歷高低起跌——歡聚有時，疲倦有時。但即使歷經變遷、身處困頓，大家心中依然有份想要守護嘅信念。

每一幅速寫，都記錄住創作者同街坊建立嘅連繫。當你親眼見到呢啲用汗水同笑聲交織出嘅線條，你會發現，重慶大廈並唔只係平日匆匆掠過嘅鬧市一隅，而係一幅由無數日常交織而成嘅鮮活風景 💡

唔好再停喺門口喇！不如就趁今次機會入嚟放慢腳步，走進呢啲有溫度嘅作品。睇完展覽，你仲可以去同街坊打個招呼，聞一聞香料嘅味道，聽聽屬於佢哋——同埋屬於我哋嘅故事 💭

「離散探索者」 專注於探索與保存香港社區記憶，透過舉辦不同類型的社區藝文活動，記錄華人與不同族裔跨越世代、原居地背景的離散足跡。計劃旨在引發大眾對離散現象的關注，促進社區理解，在尋問香港人身份的同時，共同期盼這座城市的包容與未來。

「多元文化匯館」 作為首個多元文化社區空間，專注於青少年培訓，旨在體現多元族裔社群為香港帶來的文化和經驗。

「畫下嘢」 成立於2016年底，是由城市速寫畫家組成的藝術團隊。除了積極推廣「城市寫生」活動，同時亦以跨媒體形式與其他團體合作參與社區活動。「畫下嘢」希望藉著多元的繪畫活動拉近畫友與社區的關係，透過互動，加強大眾對我城的歸屬感。

「饒宗頤文化館」 .hk 座落美孚百年歷史三級古蹟建築群，籍優越的地理環境、深厚的歷史背景和文化底蘊以及難得的寬廣空間，展開保育及重新規劃後活化成為一個地標性的文化平台。積極發展推廣歷史、教育、身心靈健康、社區聯繫等多元文化活動，為百年歷史建築注入新的生命力。

He shares how his work at Diversity Hub is nurturing a generation of young people equipped not just with skills, but with the strength and courage to lead with conviction.

Beyond that, he offers a powerful window into the history of Hong Kong's diasporic culture, reminding us that the contributions of ethnically diverse communities are not peripheral, but foundational to the city's identity.

What an unforgettable night celebrating Philippine Independence Day! 🇵🇭✨ We fully immersed ourselves in Kapwa—the beautiful spirit of togetherness and community 🫶🏻

Huge shoutouts to our incredible Voices of Tomorrow youth MCs, Mariel and Saahibah, for keeping the energy high! 🎤 We were also deeply moved by Edric’s breathtaking speech, speaking beautifully on behalf of Pinoy youth born in Hong Kong. 🌟

Last Friday at Diversity Hub, we did something special.

We unveiled 15 new pillars — each one honouring a member of Hong Kong's ethnically diverse community. Each story. Each breakthrough. Each legacy.

There was food. There was laughter. There were reconnections. And beneath all of it — deep reflection on what social impact really looks like when communities lead the way.

Welcome to our growing family of pillars. Together, we sense, make sense, and act. 💜

🌾 HARVEST: A celebration of renewal and new beginnings. 🌾

At Diversity Hub, we've been harvesting more than crops — we're harvesting community, connection, and new flavours from around the world.

🎉 Pongal – A beautiful South Indian Tamil tradition, hosted by Sudesh and his family. Thank you for welcoming us into your celebration of gratitude and abundance.

🧧 Lunar New Year – Chinese calligraphy, dumplings eating for good fortune, arts & crafts, Thai fish decorations, Vietnamese fruit arrangements, and the incredible energy of CUHK international students. Every culture brought its own flavour of hope.

🌙 Ramadan – A meaningful women's Iftar, where we broke bread and fasted together in sisterhood and reflection. First and last Photo by Mingpao Weekly.

From harvest to new beginnings — every celebration reminds us that renewal comes in many forms. And here at Diversity Hub, we're tasting them all.
