We wish to congratulate GBA Halal Certification Centre (GHCC) have set high standard for Halal Certification in Hong Kong.

Being the first Hong Kong based Centre owned and managed by a team of local Chinese Muslim, it sets to support both Hong Kong and Macau area of clients. They have successfully received a Mutual Recognition Agreement with Thailand's Halal Authority, CICOT from September 2025 for a validity of three years. This agreement marks a significant step for a Hong Kong-based company as to strive to support the halal industry in expanding into the global Muslim market. Understanding export potential and assess the market’s intelligence are most important.

在2025年2月份接受港台的訪問時，我深刻認識到「清真」不僅僅是食物的話題。作為穆斯林清真顧問，我們的清真理念延伸至食物的風險管理。我提到，清真食品適合所有人享用，涵蓋安全、衛生及健康等重要因素，並具備可追溯性，以確保穆斯林所食用的食物符合伊斯蘭律法。

然而，我們對於在香港餐飲業推行的Halal Friendly（清真友善）計劃感到憂慮。該計劃至由去年12月至目前仍處於試驗階段，許多非穆斯林經營的餐飲場所未能提供適當的培訓及對外地穆斯林生活文化認知，這導致對清真認證管理系統理解不夠深入。

目前，香港的清真認證機構仍使用舊式的監管系統，對於食材追溯及清真培訓的要求較為寬鬆，這可能導致清真與非清真食品如豬肉或非清真原材料的接觸，而影響清真審查的有效性。尤其是在中餐廳中，廚師因習慣性處理食材，有時可能因疏忽而將非清真食材與清真菜餚混合，這對於嚴守教規的穆斯林來說，無疑是高風險的選擇。

我們公司一直反對豬肉及清真共存，而鼓勵客戶申請Halal-Certified Kitchen（清真認證廚房），從不售賣豬肉開始。需要指出的是，Halal Friendly Restaurant（清真友善餐廳）與Halal Certified Restaurant（清真認證餐廳）之間的風險程度存在顯著差異。 目前許多「清真友善餐廳」的標示也不夠清晰，未能有效讓穆斯林顧客辨識其類別，容易造成混淆。香港地少人多，城市節奏快速，速食文化使許多餐飲業者無法兼顧清真廚房的細節。

清真的監管應屬於宗教事務，若政府鼓勵業界申請清真友善餐廳卻忽視其運營模式的嚴格性，將會對顧客造成困擾。

我們希望觀眾理解，部分媒體對我所述內容的報導有斷章取義之嫌，並未呈現事情的真實情況。某些機構急於推廣香港成為清真/穆斯林友善城市，重視效果卻忽視了全面教育的重要性，這樣的「清真友善」將僅流於表面，對商家來說是品牌受到影響，亦長遠來看無法為香港建立良好的形象。

總結來說，當前的挑戰包括：
1. 欠缺清晰的清真標識以區分三種不同類別的清真認證餐廳，容易令客人混淆。
2. 欠缺完善的清真培訓和監管。
3. 欠缺對管理層背景的調查，導致一些不誠信的人負責清真事務。

讓我們攜手推動清真的真正意義，為香港的穆斯林社群創造更安全、更可靠的飲食環境。

We commend the proactive initiatives by HKSAR and HKTB to encourage hospitality and hotels in obtaining halal certification. This commitment is crucial for creating a vibrant and thriving Muslim-friendly environment that benefits all Muslims, not just tourists.

While expanding halal food options in restaurants and hotels are essential, enhancing the “overall tourist experience” is equally important. We must strengthen the involvement of the Muslim community, foster connections, and organize events that specifically attract Muslim travelers. By positioning Hong Kong as a leader in world-class hospitality, we can aim to welcome and capture the attention of over 20 million Muslim tourists.

To achieve this, it is vital to enhance the skills and knowledge of staff regarding Muslim culture. Investing in professional training will ensure that hospitality personnel are sensitive to the dietary preferences of all visitors. Establishments that are Muslim-owned or managed by Muslim staff tend to earn the trust of Muslim travelers.

Community engagement is also key. By involving the local Muslim community in monitoring halal practices and ensuring alignment with internationally recognized standards, we can create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all visitors.

Together, these initiatives can significantly enhance Hong Kong's appeal as a Muslim-friendly destination.

Hong Kong is in need of more diverse clientele, and the tourism industry is increasingly recognizing the significance of the Muslim market and halal dining. This development is gratifying for our team, which has long advocated for Muslim-friendly initiatives.

As the demand for halal travel and products grows, it brings new challenges to the industry. Collaboration among government agencies, Muslim organizations, and the business community is crucial.

We hope that hotels and restaurants in Hong Kong actively support and provide high-quality, locally inspired halal cuisine. ✨️本地穆斯林終於有得試下No Pork buffet✨️

好多年前，HANI halal 開始推廣清真，為一班渴求有好嘢食嘅穆斯林東奔西跑。我們接觸一些餐飲業主管，提議試下提供清真菜餚，或申請Halal Kitchen，但大部餐廳都話No PORK No way 啦！

到了2025年，在政府的鼓勵與業界的呼應下，又加上HANI halal推波助瀾，大家終於有更多清真美食的選擇了😊!

今個月適逢是伊斯蘭教的齋戒月，穆斯林可以到九龍香格里拉酒店Café Kool 享用「齋月祝福盛宴」自助餐，餐廳內有各種椰棗供開齋時break fast食用，其中有最高級的Ajwa黑華棗，其營養價值非常高。
開齋後，又到了一天禮拜中的昏禮時段，穆斯林客人可以到LL2樓層，完成宗教上的潔淨和禮拜。

這安排簡直是貼心💗到無得輸，可說是五星⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️之中最耀眼的星星💫！
