The musical journey through Tsukuba and Tokyo offered students a rich experience filled with rigorous practice and rehearsal sessions, master classes, concert hall and community performances, cultural exchanges with local schools, as well as workshops that fostered cultural appreciation, friendships, teamwork, and self-confidence.

This tour highlighted the unique music and heritage of Japan, enhancing musical skills while creating lasting connections. Young musicians enjoyed masterclasses with experienced instructors, played alongside a local shakuhachi master, and showcased their talents in joint performances with an award-winning school band. Participants also took part in hands-on workshops in craft making and traditional Taiko drumming while exploring the vibrant summer festivals.

克雷莫納 🇮🇹 音樂表演之旅

Cremona, a renowned cradle of violin-making and the legendary home of Stradivari, is steeped in the essence of music. This city is celebrated for its outstanding contributions to classical music, with its violin-making traditions recognized as a UNESCO cultural heritage. During this journey, participants will enjoy an array of musical learning experiences, including masterclasses and orchestral training, capping off with a public performance at the Cremona Music Festival.

Workshops exploring Italy's history, music, and culture are also key components of the itinerary. Participants will explore the Violin Museum to discover the stories behind each instrument, visit a string instrument-making workshop to learn how artisans skillfully transform blocks of wood into exquisite instruments, and enjoy the fun of making handmade Italian pizza. This blend of intensive musical education and cultural exploration establishes a strong foundation for aspiring musicians and deepens their appreciation and passion for music.

The practice of global citizenship is, for many, exercised primarily at home, through engagement in global issues or with different cultures in a local setting. For others, global citizenship means first-hand experience with different countries, peoples, and cultures.

Global citizenship covers a lot of ground. Thus, it is useful to consider the term as shorthand for the habits of mind and complex learning associated with the identity of being part of an emerging world community and whose actions contribute to building this community’s values and practices. All in all, a global citizen is aware of and understands the wider world – and their place in it. They take an active role in their community and work with others to make our planet more peaceful, sustainable and fair.

此學習營將由經驗豐富的導師帶領學生初探 「文化」的本質，進而執行各分項主題跨文化意識遊戲、體驗、工作坊和腦力激盪，讓小學生及其家⻑認識不同文化裏的溝通、禮儀、生活及工作方式，並就飲食、傳統、習俗等日常題材進行探討並提出看法與見解。學生將於學習營的最後一天與同學們分享幾日所得。

Exclusively designed by the World Vision Academy, this learning camp will be kicking off with a sharing session by our star coach on what culture is. Throughout the camp, participants will be engaged through a series of thematic cross-cultural awareness games and workshops. Each group will have the opportunity to interact and brainstorm with our foreign team leaders who have settled in Hong Kong on topics ranging from multicultural communication, etiquette, life and work styles, cuisine, to traditions and customs. Key insights should be presented at the end of the workshop.

【 父子關係的本質 】
無論在哪種社會文化中，男性都更偏向於不直接表露自己的情感與感受。可能是因為文化的塑造，也可能是社會規範的壓制，它都成了父子之間無法有效的障礙，並將兩者之間的隔閡越拉越深。尤其是無法適當處理婚姻問題的父母，他們與子女的衝突會更為明顯。

從小時候的「偶像化」，認為父親無所不曉、無所不能；到青春期開始反抗父權威的「分歧」階段；再到成年期因孩子的話語權增加而「進化」成某種隱匿的競爭；最後在有了自己的兒女之後逐漸「接受」和「理解」彼此的相同與不同之處。

然而，除了以上概括性的情況，依然有許多關係緊密、互動良好的父子。而在那些終其一生都未能解決的父子關係中，孩子很有可能會將他們與父親的關係模式再次傳遞到下一代身上。

學者 Rob Palkovitz 提出的「父職 ABC」，從父愛（Affection）、行為（Behaviour）、內心連結（Connection）三方面來檢視自己和孩子的關係，讓父親們更清楚在家庭教育中如何發揮自己的角色。

【 Father-Child Relationship 】
Due to cultural stereotypes and social norms, men are more inclined to not directly express their emotions and feelings. This has become an obstacle for effective communication between father and child, and it deepens the gap between the two.

When children are young, they tend to idolise their fathers. During the teenage years, they start to seek independence and gradually challenge their parents’ authority. Stepping into young adulthood, the contempt and difference may start “Evolving” into something like a competition. Subsequently, “Acceptance” and “Legacy" occur during middle age when they let go of the old problems.

However, there are still many good examples of father-child relationships that provide emotional care and positive interactions. And for those father-son relationships that could not be resolved, the relationship patterns often appear to be inherited, passing down from generation to generation.

Rob Palkovitz proposed the "ABC of fatherhood" that examines the relationship between parents and their children from three aspects: Affection, Behaviour, and Connection for fathers to better understand the importance of fatherhood and how can they play their roles in the family.
