The Year 13 Awards🏅 and Graduation🎓 Ceremonies will be held on Tuesday May 24th 2022. We have arranged the day so parents can be on campus with students and students can all be together while observing social distancing measures. Each student will be able to invite two guests to attend their Graduation Ceremony.

Parents, please complete the Google Form to confirm you will attend the Graduation Ceremony and if you would like one or two seats reserved during the ceremony. 🎫🎟

We are looking forward to seeing as many parents as possible and we hope the day will be an event to remember as we say goodbye and congratulations to the Class of 2022. 🎈📸

This year, the Year 13 Bridge Programme will commence on Monday 30th May until Friday 17th June. The sessions will be held online on/or on campus if possible. There will be daily sessions based on the following four themes:

1. Wellbeing Sessions
- Online yoga session
- Online crossfit session

2. Academic Stretch and Self Development
- Leadership series
- Finance for Future workshop
- CV writing workshop

3. Preparing for University Life and Beyond
- Alumni sharing sessions on their university experiences (UK, US, Asia etc)
- Cooking survival skills
- Book club

4. Staying Connected: The IS Alumni Network
- Career-related experience sharing
- Alumni sharing on some specific topics (HK and US-related)

We would appreciate it if you took a few minutes time to sign-up for the programme for our arrangement (link in email).

The final Year 13 Zoom Parent Information Evening will be held on Wednesday, 30 March at 6 pm. The Senior Phase team will share information about:

- Any update on the situation for exams including arrangements for the exams
- Study leave and how to support students to manage this well
- Managing stress during the exams
Celebrations planned for Year 13
- The Bridge Programme
- HE guidance about accepting university offers
- Post-results support in July

ESF Career Webinars are an online series designed to provide students with insights and information about different industries and help them take the next step in their journey.

The next webinar will be held next Tue:
CUHK vs HKU Medical Education
15 March 5:00-6:00 pm

In this webinar, 4 ESF alumni, now medical students in CUHK and HKU, will talk about the structure of the two medical education paths. Our alumni will cover some holistic opinions and thoughts about university life in both schools. They will also individually share their typical day within life as a medical student in CUHK and HKU.

How does university life impact you after your graduation from Island School? What are your best memories from university?

The Island School Year 13 Bridge, is a programme that aspires to ensure all students can be the best they can be. The Bridge is specifically focused on preparing our Year 13 Leavers, for life after they graduate from Island School and at the same time as ensuring they remain forever connected to the school.

The Bridge Programme will focus on a series of workshops, which will be run after the IB Exams in May 2022. We would appreciate it if any of you would like to share your experiences with the Year 13s.

Topics include: university preparation, student registration🏛, visa application📝, travel arrangement✈️, accommodation and housing🏠, finance and budgeting💸, orientation activities💃🏻🕺🏼, summer job and internships💼, university life in the 🇺🇸🇬🇧🇭🇰🇦🇺🇨🇦, subject-related information etc.
