With the coordination and assistance from the Office of Student Affairs, a friendship competition – the ‘iBond-lympics’ was held by various non-local associations. The activity aimed at providing a platform to link up CUHK students from different backgrounds and providing an event of sports and leisure for balanced campus life. The events included a basketball tournament, six-legged race, relay run, dodgeball and Kabaddi game.

Being a part of the Mediterranean Festival 2018, the iBond-lympics is a mini-Olympic Game which could bring your sports talent into full play. Athletes, from diverse cultural backgrounds, recruited from and represent associations and unit, including ISA, TSA, PE Unit, etc. will compete with each other for the laurel wreath. Come sweat, come meet new friends!

大洋洲文化節 🎬電影放映會---《鱷魚先生》🐊

於1980年代上演的《鱷魚先生》是一部曾風靡全球的動作喜劇片。這個故事發生在澳洲內陸及美國紐約之間，既窩心又驚險的劇情讓觀眾一瞥澳洲土著的生活，也呈現出現代社會與土著社群之間的張力。欣賞精彩電影過後，同場設有映後分享會，來自澳洲的中大同學將與觀眾分享他們對澳洲大陸面對以上挑戰的看法。

Oceania Festival 🎬Movie Screening: Crocodile Dundee🐊

Crocodile Dundee, an action comedy set in the Australian Outback and New York City, was a worldwide box-office success when it was first released in the mid-1980s. This heartwarming yet exciting movie allows audience to peek into the lifestyle of Australian Aborigines and the culture clashes between aboriginality and modernity. A post-screening session will be hosted by the Australian students at CUHK.

The iBond societies held a booth at the Mental Wellness Promotion Day 2018. The theme of the booth was 'Hundred life styles, hundred well-beings'. We wish all CUHK can live a fruitful and meaningful life!

The Mental Wellness Promotion Day will be held on 1 February (next Thursday!). Booths, performance, yummy corner and mental health talk can be found in/outside the Pommerenke Student Centre. The iBond will set up a booth there also. Remember to visit us! 😉

2018台灣文化週 即將開始囉～

Have you ever heard of Taiwan? What is Taiwan actually like? You now have a chance to find the answers out!

CUHK TSA(Taiwanese Student Association) has prepared a three-day "Taiwanese Cultural Festival" on the second week of February. Having the theme "家原(Jia Yuan)", which symbolises "Home" and Taiwan's multicultural environment, we will introduce you the various traditions and beauty of Taiwan!

The festival will be divided into three events: Taiwanese music, Cultural talk and Taiwanese night market.

🎤Taiwanese music

4.About: We invite Taiwanese students from different universities to come and perform famous Taiwanese songs.

🎬Cultural Talk

4.Speaker: Pastor Lin Ching Tai
5.About: Pastor Lin Ching Tai took the role of main character in the historical movie "賽德克巴萊(Seediq Bale)". This movie tells the complicated story of Taiwan's aboriginal people who were almost wiped out by colonisers in the 1930s. Pastor Lin will share his experience acting as "himself" and aboriginal culture in Taiwan.
