Gratitude to our campus for the beautiful years it has given us.💛

Together, students and teachers cleared, packed, and carried our history—our books, instruments, plants, and decorations—ready to move them to our new campus. And of course, we made sure to have one last run on our playground!

We are hiring: 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁-𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁

Island Waldorf School is looking for a Mathematics Specialist to support our Classes 7 and 8, starting in August 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher with vision and passion. The right person will have considerable freedom to explore new approaches and develop lively, experiential, and effective ways of teaching Mathematics within a supportive school environment.

The teacher will teach approximately 10 lessons per week, with five lessons for each class. Lessons are 45–50 minutes and will ideally be arranged across four days, between 10:50 am and 3:40 pm. Class sizes are approximately 10–15 students.

Applicants should:

- Be fluent in English
- Be familiar with IGCSE or another international Mathematics curriculum
- Be passionate about teaching Mathematics in a lively, clear and experiential way
- Be open-minded, progressive and receptive to Waldorf educational principles

Here is how we mark the end of term—without a single exam.

🍀Lower grade students received beautiful, heartfelt poems written by our teachers, filled with love.

🪡Students are finally wrapping up the projects we have faithfully nurtured for a whole year.

🌋Together, higher grades listened to each other’s challenges, reflected on our growth, and shared our seasonal fruits with everyone.

Our students grow step by step. No matter the pace, every single step is seen by each other and met with immense encouragement. ✨

✨ 𝙒𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙢𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜! 📦

Around this time last year, we were informed that we would need to move from our current grade school campus following a change in ownership of the building.

Over the past very busy year, our parent community has come together through many fundraising efforts, and we have now raised close to that amount. We are deeply grateful for the generosity, trust, and commitment of our parent community throughout this journey! 🫶

Our new campus remains in the same Kennedy Town neighbourhood while offering expanded facilities, including additional classrooms and specialist function rooms. Our Kindergarten and Grade School will also be re-united in one shared campus community.

In the next few days, we will bid a fond farewell to our current campuses.

From mid-August, we look forward to welcoming families and visitors to our new home in Kennedy Town:
