It has been a while but I though I would post this here and then share to my personal page since only a few alumni actually on this page. I noticed in the Dragon Tail Alumni News a list of universities the Class of '21 will be attending. One is in Atlanta. That started me thinking how hard it must be to travel to another country/state and go to school where you know no one, no family if you need help, etc I asked if they ever match up students with Alumni in the area just in case? Nope. So here is their response. If you are interested just let them know to add you to the list.

Thanks all for your willingness and kind offers to help our young alumni who will be attending universities/colleges in your areas. I'd be happy to create a spreadsheet and share this with our graduating seniors. A great way to support our newest alumni especially during this time of transition and change. New email list to replace the Yahoo Group that is closing down. Not that we really used it but nice if you aren't on facebook all the time...

Dear HKIS Class Agents,

Happy Holidays!
We have much to be thankful for this year. With the support of our Board as well as Faculty and Administration, we have taken Annual Fund giving online. The Annual Fund Campaign has been wholeheartedly embraced and we are seeing the difference each donor makes.

I'm reaching out to let you know that this year we've had our first ever "ALUMNI PARTICIPATION CHALLENGE" as part of our Annual Fund Giving Campaign. Alumni engagement is fundamental to the continuous development and success of HKIS. And, when alumni give back, it's an endorsement of their HKIS experience. It's not the amount you give, but the act of giving we are trying to foster at HKIS.

Please share this email with your classmates and encourage them to visit the ALUMNI PARTICIPATION CHALLENGE. and hear why your fellow alumni feel HKIS is so special to them. You'll see alumni have set up matching donations and challenges for their classmates. TOMORROW, December 4, is the FINAL day of Giving for the Annual Fund Campaign.
