逸夫書院開學禮
書院於2026年9月11日舉行2026/27年度開學禮，約1,560位學生及40位教職員齊聚一堂。
開學禮專為一年級新生而設，由書院新任輔導長兼國楙樓舍監朱順慈教授及通識教育主任區永東教授主講，向同學介紹書院的學生發展計劃、資源、宿舍生活及通識教育，幫助新生認識書院，善用資源，開展充實而精彩的大學生活。
院長梁耀堅教授分享：「人類的心智能帶來轉變，而變得更好還是更壞，關鍵在於心智的質素。」他也介紹了書院的新口號「以心塑心」、全新的正念生活宿舍逸華樓，以及即將推出的正念通識課程和學生發展活動，鼓勵同學善用在逸夫書院的時光，在追求學術成就之餘，勇於探索、持續成長，讓大學生活成為一段自我塑造的旅程。
Shaw College Inauguration Assembly
On 11 September 2026, Shaw College welcomed approximately 1,560 students and 40 staff members to the Inauguration Assembly 2026/27.
Designed especially for first-year students, the assembly featured sharing sessions by Professor Donna Chu, the College's new Dean of Students and Warden of Kuo Mou Hall, and Professor Winton Au, Dean of General Education. They introduced the College’s student development programmes, resources, hostel life, and General Education and helping students make the most of the opportunities available throughout their university journey.
In his welcoming address, College Head Professor Freedom Leung shared, “Human mind transforms matter and energy. Whether this transformation becomes better or worse depends on the quality of mind.” He also introduced the College’s new slogan, “Minds Transform Minds”, the new mindful living hostel Mona Shaw Hall, as well as forthcoming mindful General Education courses and student development programmes. He encouraged students to make the most of their time at Shaw College, pursuing not only academic excellence but also exploration, growth, and personal transformation throughout their university journey.
