Il Villaggio Dei Bambini 童の村 We serve safe and quality child care with community, nature, and Reggio Emilia inspired Approach. Welcome! Our approach comes from a strong belief of children.

Il Villaggio Dei Bambini, a cheerful little place for young children nested in a beautiful Lam Tsuen neighborhood, offers part day programs for children age 18m-6y. They have power. A strong power of learning. They are always/carefully watching and listening. Young children are developing their understandings from their everyday's daily life, and they want to express what they thought & what they felt. His expression, her expression, it might be all different, but it’s all good. We accept our differences, and we respect it. In the learning, the children are the main charactors. Not teacher, nor parents. We are the supporters for children's learning journey. We observe children and provide safe yet rich, challengeable and developmentally appropriate activities and environment. We want all the people who relate to our children to join this journey, and let’s enjoy children’s precious period of life, together!

In Osaka, I also visited Codomonoart (Shōjaku Site). Their atmosphere is so warm and safe. Naturally, in there, I could feel, “I can be who I am here♪"

I'm back to Japan, trying to settle in the life here.

Last few days, I've been meeting some “Free School” people. One person mentioned about “Neill,” so I guess this movement from England, Summerhill School.

I was surprised by meeting this movement in my hometown.

And, I noticed that, education issue is same in Hong Kong nor Japan.

Anyway...

Cloud.

I realized that I didn't watch cloud, just watching cloud, cloud moving by wind, cloud changing its shape... for a long long time.

Yeah,

I was the person who likes to watch cloud, watch stars, watch trees...

I started feeling I'm back to home.

Thank you for all your support and understandings!

I worked in Hong Kong for 14 years. And, finally, I'm going home.
(Ah, this is Mabo writing.)

I could meet so many nice people here. Yes, I really think, you should proud to be a 香港人. You guys are really, beautiful people.

Also, I could find so much beautiful nature here. I enjoyed touching 釣鐘王, looking at 高體鰟鮍, etc. They are Hong Kong's real treasures.

So, I'm leaving Hong Kong... But, many parents asked me if I could keep online or somehow to continue providing my education for Hong Kong parents, children, educators.

Thus, now I'm transforming “Villaggio dei Bambini, ” to a larger community, “The Village.”

It's not just for children. But also parents, educators, and our neighbors.

I will be in Japan.

But, it doesn't matter where you live. What you believe.

This community is for anyone who wants to join us.

But, I ask only one thing,

“Believe in your child.”

That makes us.

Because of student's interest, we went to Sai Kung, Volano Discovery Center, to learn more about Hong Kong volcano.

Their curator, Arthur, was very kind to answer all our questions.

I had no idea, this place used to be a super volcano! Now, I see the same Sai Kung ocean, but I feel it's a different view.

And, we found volcanic rocks♪
