【學樂理需要創意嗎？】

五級或以下不需要，六級或以上需要。

如果從現行 ABRSM 網上電腦考試的角度來看，答案非常明確：五級樂理在應試層面上幾乎「完全不需要創意」，它是一場 100% 的邏輯推導、規律辨識與知識精準度測試。

但若從音樂學習與應用的角度來看，它的定位完全不同。具體可以從三個層面來拆解：

1️⃣ 應試層面：純粹的客觀邏輯與規則
▫️創作題型已成歷史：自從新制改為電腦選擇題後，舊制中唯一需要發揮一點旋律想像力的「8 小節旋律創作」已被全面取消。
▫️唯一標準答案：現行的題型 (音程計算、調號辨識、拍號劃分、和弦與終止式、總譜分析)全都屬於「非黑即白」的客觀題。只要掌握核心邏輯與推導路徑，就能穩定算出正確答案，完全沒有個人自由發揮的空間。

2️⃣ 知識定位：音樂語法的「字詞與工具箱」
▫️創意的前提是基礎：五級樂理的角色就像語文學習中的「拼音、字詞與基礎文法」。
▫️學習文法本身不需要創意，但它是創意的基石：學習「主謂賓結構」或「動詞時態」不需要發揮想像力，但沒有這些基礎，就無法寫出一篇有結構的文章。五級樂理提供了調性、和聲與節奏的最基本框架，讓未來的創意 (如進階和聲、流行編曲、旋律發展) 有據可依。

3️⃣ 教學與理解層面：將死板規則轉化為音樂感知
▫️雖然考試只考客觀邏輯，但在學習過程中，如果能讓學生體會到「規則背後的音樂效果」 (例如：為什麼屬七和弦解決到主和弦會產生歸宿感？為什麼轉調能帶來色彩的變化？)，樂理就不再只是枯燥的應試公式，而是能被聽見、被感受到的音樂語言。

🔺總結來說：準備五級樂理考試時，應該把它當成一門嚴密的邏輯學科來處理，講求的是結構化思考與精準度；而通過五級之後，這套工具才會正式成為輔助創意的強大武器。

🔺遠關係之轉調示範 (Bb major —> B major)

轉調 (modulation) 不僅能打破長篇樂曲的單調感、豐富音域變化，更是推升音樂氣氛、將情感帶入全新境界的核心技巧。這段樂曲完美示範了流行樂經典的向上轉調 —— 即樂理中的 direct modulation，由原來的 Bb major 轉為 B major。

▫️無共同和弦：捨棄傳統平緩的漸進銜接，改以精準過門 (fill-in) 與樂器動態層層堆疊 (1:28-1:56)，俐落強勢地切入更高音域的新大調。

▫️平行級數轉移：轉調後強行拉高調性中心，瞬間將最終副歌的輝煌氣勢與情緒張力推向頂峰。

🔺 Direct Modulation Demonstration between Distant Keys (Bb major —> B major)

Modulation not only breaks the monotony of a lengthy piece and enriches vocal / instrumental ranges, but it is also a core technique for building musical atmosphere and elevating emotion to a whole new level. This piece perfectly demonstrates a classic upward modulation in pop music — specifically, direct modulation in music theory, transitioning from the original key of Bb major to B major.

▫️ No Common Chords: It bypasses the traditional, smooth, step-by-step transition, relying instead on precise fill-ins and dynamic layering of instrumentation (1:28-1:56) to seamlessly and powerfully transition into a new major key in a higher register.

▫️ Parallel Degree Shift: Post-modulation, it forcefully raises the tonal center, instantly driving the grand atmosphere and emotional tension of the final chorus to its peak.

This clean, decisive, and highly expressive modulation technique is not only widely used in pop song production and orchestral arrangement, but it is also an excellent example studied in ABRSM Grade 8 Music Theory regarding how modulation enhances overall harmonic color.

In scales, when ascending in a melodic minor, the 6th and 7th notes are raised by a semitone, and when descending, they are restored to natural. I believe everyone is familiar with this music theory rule. Taking A minor as an example:

相信大家在五級樂理裏，都學過「級進」和「二度」的概念。這是一首為介紹上述概念而寫的歌。這首歌在旋律上滿有意思的。它沒有依賴太多常規的大跳，而是透過大量「級進」與「二度」交織來推動旋律。這樣寫出來的線條特別連貫，唱起來很順口、很有歌唱性。在兼顧流暢好聽之餘，也帶出了一種細膩的現代感，算是這首作品最耐人尋味的地方。

🔺 Demonstration of Stepwise Motion

"Starry Night"

I believe everyone who has studied Grade 5 Music Theory is familiar with the concepts of "stepwise motion” and “interval of 2nd”. This song was specifically composed to introduce these concepts.

The melody of this song is quite interesting. Rather than relying heavily on conventional large leaps, it drives the melodic line forward through an intricate interplay of "stepwise motion" and “interval of 2nd”. This approach creates an exceptionally coherent line that feels very smooth and vocal to sing. While maintaining a fluent and pleasant sound, it also conveys a delicate modern touch, which is perhaps the most intriguing aspect of this piece.
