Two Years in the Making: Munsang College Centenary Original English Musical PHILO•SOPHIA Concludes in Standing Ovation!
After two years of meticulous preparation, Munsang College’s Centenary Original English Musical, PHILO•SOPHIA, was grandly staged on May 30 and 31 at the Grand Theatre of the Xiqu Centre, West Kowloon. The spectacular production finally drew to a triumphant close amidst thunderous applause from the audience!
This cinematic and theatrical feast spanned across a century, seamlessly weaving together the past, present, and future. It not only looked back on our Alma Mater’s founding vision of "Light and Life" and the passing of the Munsang spirit from generation to generation, but also ventured a century into the future to explore the true meaning of education in the era of AI.
A Packed House & Spellbinding Performances
Both days of the performance saw a completely packed house, filling the Grand Theatre with an atmosphere of passion and warmth. On stage, the cast—comprising talented performers from our Kindergarten, Primary School, Secondary School, Munsang College (Hong Kong Island), and the Alumni Association Choir—gave their absolute all.
With fluent English, angelic vocals, and deeply expressive choreography, they perfectly portrayed the fantastical journey of "Philo" and "Sophia" in search of happiness and the true meaning of education. Their performance touched the hearts of everyone in the audience, showcasing the excellence and brilliant heritage of Munsangians across the century.

It is precisely because of the selfless devotion and seamless collaboration of every participant across all roles that we were able to achieve this magnificent, historic milestone for our Centenary Celebration! This journey of fighting shoulder-to-shoulder will undoubtedly become one of the most cherished collective memories in our hundred-year history.
