'Unfolding 展現 펼침' exhibition
28 Mar – 3 Apr 2019
3/F, Jockey Club Innovation Tower

Unfolding—referencing something in process, becoming—aims to present design works produced by undergraduate students and recent graduates from Hong Kong and Seoul. Through these works, it considers approaches and perspectives of young designers as their practices and futures are unfolding. It is hoped that the visual dialogue this engenders will lead to an understanding of convergent topics of concern and ideas about forthcoming design trends.

Presented by students from PolyU Design, Hong Kong, and College of Arts and Design of 이화여자대학교 Ewha Womans University in Seoul.

Curator: Anneke Coppoolse, Assistant Professor of PolyU Design

[EXHIBITION] Our Interactive Media students are now showcasing the outputs of the SD4763 Co-operative Project subject at Gallery D, Podium of Innovation Tower.

With latest advances in real-time interactive multimedia technologies, design artifacts involving interaction between humans and computational devices have become pervasive. These interactive media artifacts provide people with novel experiences, which are the feats of new generation designers who are not only aware of human needs and community values, but also capable of mastering various design tools in the field of human-computer interaction.

Come and explore more!

Until end of this Thursday, 15 November.

Studio Exhibition (10/F): Tooling Based Research: Theorization, Objects, and Publication 02/03/2018

[Studio Exhibition] This two-week exhibition features writing, images, and objects from Assistant Professor Daniel Elkin’s body of tooling based research work. This work proposes a methodology to study, understand, and improve fabrication cultures through the introduction of meaningful tooling and design representation interventions. When brought to bear on crises of agency within built environments, this approach projects systemic and constituent-agent change in spatial practices, as it betters the means of production rather than the outcomes of production.
