【輔助機械人會議 2026】
面對人口高齡化趨勢，如何運用科技協助長者在熟悉的社區環境中獨立生活，已成為重要的社會及政策議題。
將於2026年8月25日至26日舉行的「Assistive Robotics Conference 2026」（輔助機械人會議 2026），將聚焦探討如何透過共創、參與式設計及跨學科協作，發揮輔助機械人在促進原居安老方面的應用與潛力，並匯聚學者、研究人員、醫護專業人士、業界專家、政策制定者、照顧者及長者，共同交流研究成果與創新實踐。
會議將由來自香港、中國內地、加拿大、丹麥、荷蘭及英國的知名學者、研究人員及業界專家分享真知灼見，共同探討輔助機械人技術及相關政策發展。會議由PolyU CPCE李穎博士擔任會議主席，並由屈大明博士擔任聯席會議主席。
【Assistive Robotics Conference 2026】
As populations around the world continue to age, supporting older adults to live independently in their own homes and communities has become an increasingly important social and policy priority.
Taking place on 25–26 August 2026, the Assistive Robotics Conference 2026 will explore how assistive robots can facilitate aging in place through co-creation, participatory design, and interdisciplinary collaboration, bringing together academics, researchers, healthcare professionals, industry experts, policymakers, caregivers and older adults to exchange knowledge and innovative ideas.
The conference will feature renowned scholars, researchers, and industry experts from Hong Kong, Mainland China, Canada, Denmark, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. The conference is chaired by Dr Stephanie Lee and co-chaired by Dr Edmund Wut, both from PolyU CPCE.

The year 2026 marks the start of the National "15th Five-Year" plan, incorporating the "AI+" action.
Dr Jason Chan, MH, JP, Director of PolyU SPEED, was interviewed on ViuTV's "Homeland Explorer", analysing how Hong Kong's internationalisation advantages can align with the national need for integrated development of "education, technology, and talents". He shared the following key insights:
• Educational "Dual Circulation": With several universities ranked among the world’s top 100, Hong Kong can help educational development move towards a model placing equal emphasis on both internal and external circulation.
• Aligning with Mainland Hard-Tech: Mainland's strength in hard-tech training aligns with industry chains and complements Hong Kong’s education system.
• "Transitional" Certification: To facilitate professional exchange, a transitional arrangement is proposed for mutual recognition of teachers.
