【HKBU curator and artists shape “Collaboration in Collision” flagship exhibition】

Hong Kong Arts Centre’s flagship exhibition “Collaboration in Collision” will run from 26 August to 20 September 2026. The Academy of Visual Arts from HKBU’s School of Creative Arts is one of the exhibition’s supporting partners, helping to foster cross-cultural and interdisciplinary artistic exchange.

Curated by Professor Janet Fong, Assistant Professor of HKBU’s Academy of Visual Arts, the exhibition brings together seven artists and art groups from Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland and overseas in four collaborative pairings.

Through dialogue across different artistic practices, the participants will treat the exhibition space as a “silent third collaborator” and explore a multiverse of creative possibilities.

Among the pairs is an artist couple from South Korea and Germany. Professor Andreas Kratky, Director and Professor of HKBU’s Academy of Visual Arts, and Ms Juri Hwang, Research Assistant Professor of HKBU’s Academy of Film, will weave together technology with bodily experience, computation with memory and spatial perception with family history within their collaboration.

【浸大策展人與藝術家攜手呈現「場域・碰撞・協作」旗艦展】

香港藝術中心將於2026年8月26日至9月20日期間舉辦旗艦展「場域・碰撞・協作」。浸大創意藝術學院視覺藝術院亦是展覽的支持機構之一，透過是次合作推動跨文化及跨領域藝術交流。

展覽由浸大視覺藝術院助理教授方敏兒教授策展，匯聚來自香港、內地及海外的七位/組藝術家及團體，形成四組協作關係。

參展藝術家透過跨領域的創作對話，將展覽空間視為「沉默的第三位合作者」，共同探索藝術的多重宇宙。

其中一組藝術家是來自德國及韓國的伴侶藝術家，浸大視覺藝術院總監兼教授Andreas Kratky教授及浸大電影學院研究助理教授Juri Hwang女士。他們將透過演算科技與母系記憶的對話，探索空間感知、身份建構與生命傳承之間的深層連結。

【HKBU takes the lead in shaping the future of postgraduate education 🌏🎓】

The HKBU International Advisory Board for Graduate Studies (IAB), founded and convened by the University, brought together leaders from 11 top universities across six countries and Microsoft Research Asia for its 2026 Annual Meeting.

In the two-day event, HKBU steered dialogues on how transdisciplinary education can transform doctoral training, research and society. Professor Alex Wai, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKBU, set the direction in his welcome remarks, while Professor Lyu Aiping, Vice-President (Research and Development) cm Dean of Graduate School, called on members to combine their strengths and deepen cross-institutional collaboration.

Highlights included:

🎤 Four keynotes and an HKBU-led panel discussion
🤝 Strategic exchanges between IAB leaders and HKBU scholars
