The Hong Kong Learning Challenge (HKLC) is an interactive, Inter School challenge where school teams compete with each other in solving creative puzzles based on general awareness, lateral thinking and presence of mind using the Internet as an enabler. HKLC is supported by Apple Inc. and organised by HKICC Lee Shau Kee School of Creativity. At HKLC students will learn:
1. Lateral Thinking
Solvi
ng problems through an indirect and creative approach, using reasoning that is not immediately obvious, involving ideas that may not be obtainable by using traditional step-by-step logic.
2. Social Learning
The best learning happens in groups. Students will learn from each other, make decisions as a team, within a limited time. This will enhance their teamwork, collaboration and decision making skills.
3. The Internet Enables
The Internet is our friend. To learn is to be Human. Technology is enhancing our abilities and is making us better, everyday.
4. Connectivity
The Internet is an ocean of information and hidden connections, waiting to be discovered and made sense of.
5. Equipped for the Future
Change is the only constant. The only way to succeed in an ever changing world is to be a curious and passionate learner. HKLC envisions to create a generation of empowered learners in Hong Kong. Learn more about the 7 future skills here - bit.ly/HKLCfuture. Sign up here bit.ly/HKLCregister
