與徒弟Damon練習過手，作為師父要帶手給他，讓他練習出拳及防守。另外，他亦要練習怎樣控制鬆緊散力，否則就給我“借力打力”了！ 大家會看到片中有多少詠春手法？ Gor Sao practice with my student Damon. As Sifu I must "Dai Sao" (to lead him) so he can practice striking and defensive skills. During the process he also needs to learn how/when to “Soong” (relax), otherwise will give me chance to steal his power to strike back! Can anyone name what different Sao methods we did? #招系詠春

我常強調 “眼神要有勢” ! 無論在練習套路，打木人樁，黐手，或互動過手時，雙目都必須要有神地望住前面(假想有敵)或對方雙眼。而絕不可以瞻天望地，或只掛著望手或地下。須然疑似簡單，但就很多人往往忽略。其實這亦是基本功重要一環!

I always emphasize "Eyes of a Tiger"! Whether practicing forms, wooden dummy, chisao, or gorsao sparring; our eyes should always focus (stare) straight infront or at your practicing partner's eyes. Never should we lose eye contact and look elsewhere. The worst is when heads turn and looking at hands and/or even the ground! It may be simple, but many people easily neglect this basic principle.

Today is Lunar Calendar 29th Day of January. It is also the birthday of my late father Chiu Wan, who in our loving memory was a great father, teacher, and Grandmaster!

GM Chiu Wan devoted his life to Wing Chun, and received official legendary recognition from GGM Yip Man as "Genuine Wing Chun"!

We proudly continue to carry his spirit and dedication forward as Chiu's Lineage!
