Little me had big dreams, but life had better plot twists.

I quit dancing but found my true passion in helping others. I used to hate biology, but now I’m endlessly fascinated by the magic that makes us exist. I wanted to see the world, and I’m doing it, while studying in HKUST! And I’m still proudly dressing up to express who I am. 💅

The best part of this journey? Looking back and knowing that I am truly living my dream life. Life is incredibly beautiful when you give yourself the space to grow and believe in yourself.

最正嘅係，回頭望發現，自己已經活緊細個最憧憬嘅生活

What if you could go back in time and tell your younger self one thing? What would you say?
For me, it would probably be: ”Learning to accept your true self is already more than enough.🙂‍↕️“
Before, I kept thinking: Am I still not good enough? ಠ_ಠ
Always chasing people’s validation, constantly comparing myself to others and fell deep into appearance anxiety, losing all my self-confidence..

But then I asked myself: Does this endless comparison actually make me a better person?

Looking back at old photos recently, I realised that the version of me who was so full of self-doubt wasn’t actually as bad as I thought at the time.
Over time, that girl who tried so hard to please everyone has slowly learned how to embrace who she is.

Growing up, I was always seeking validation from others. But in the end, I realised that my own acceptance is the only thing I truly needed, and it‘s the most important of all.

Sending the biggest hug to my past self who used to overthink everything, and telling her : You’ve worked so hard. You did amazing.🫂

如果有機會俾你同返細個嘅自己講一句說話 你又會講咩呢？
我會想同自己講：「願意去接受本身嘅自己就已經好足夠啦。」

以前成日都會諗 : 「係咪自己做得仲未夠好？」
係咁博取別人嘅認同，不斷攞自己嚟同人比較。又會不停審視自己嘅外表，墮入容貌焦慮漩渦，失去自信。
有一日突然諗，究竟我仲要比較到幾時呢？
咁樣永無止境地同人比較，真係可以令自己進步咩？

搵返自己啲舊相嘅時候，發現過去陷入自我懷疑的自己，其實並冇當時想像中咁差。隨着時間，嗰陣時好努力去討好成個世界嘅自己，已經開始慢慢學識咗佢點樣接受自己。

喺成長嘅路上不斷尋求別人嘅認可，但最後發現自己對自己嘅認可先係最需要，亦都係最重要嘅。

好想俾個大大嘅擁抱俾之前鑽牛角尖嘅自己，再同佢講返聲辛苦晒，你已經做得好好啦。🫂
