不少中風患者會因為「偏癱」而不自覺依賴正常的一邊身體，久而久之令受損肢體出現「習慣性廢用」，大大拖慢康復進度。為此，理大康復治療科學系副系主任、輔助技術研究中心主任方乃權教授團隊研發新一代穿戴式復康裝置「Remind-to-Move（RTM）感知提示手環」，結合 AI 科技，將家居變成專屬復康中心。🏠✨

「AI 復康手環」三大優勢：
🔹 AI 閉環系統：實時對比患者雙手的活動數據，並自動調整訓練頻率與強度，度身訂造最合適的治療方案。
🔹 智能震動提示：適時發出震動訊號，提醒患者主動使用偏癱肢體，打破「習慣性廢用」的惡性循環。

Smartwatches are already a part of our everyday routines, but can you imagine an 'AI rehab wristband' tailor-made for stroke rehabilitation? 💡

Due to hemiparesis, many stroke patients unconsciously rely on their non-affected limbs. Over time, this leads to "learned non-use" of the affected limb, significantly hindering the recovery progress! To address this, a research team led by Prof. Kenneth Fong, Associate Head of the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences and Director of the Research Centre for Assistive Technology at PolyU, has developed a new-generation wearable rehabilitation device: the "Remind-to-Move" (RTM) sensory wristband. Powered by AI technology, it transforms your home into a personalised rehab centre! 🏠✨

Three key features of the AI rehab wristband:
🔹 AI Closed-Loop System: By real-time comparison of the movement patterns of the hemiparetic limb with its non-affected counterpart, the system automatically adjusts training parameters such as frequency and intensity, tailoring the most suitable treatment regimen just for you.
🔹 Smart Vibration Prompts: Emits timely vibration signals to remind patients to actively use their hemiparetic limbs, breaking the vicious cycle of "learned non-use".
🔹 Easy Home-Based Rehabilitation: Simply wear the wristband and connect it to the complementary mobile app. You can receive instant feedback while training at home, making your rehabilitation much more targeted and effective!
