For those of you who have not previously met Matthias, he is Director of Studies in Mathematics at St John’s College and previously he was the Senior Tutor of the College for 14 years and was responsible for the education and welfare of all College students.
Matthias will share his insights on the admissions process. His talk will cover topics like: the characteristics of a strong personal statement; admissions assessments; the format of the admissions interviews; and what would make an applicant really stand out. Matthias will also provide information about the Cambridge education and teaching style in general and explain what makes it so special. He also welcomes questions from our community to cover the questions you may have.

The Medical Student’s Paediatrics Association Hong Kong (MSPA) are hosting a “Careers Night”, which will be held on March 13, 2026 (CUHK session) and March 20, 2026 (HKU session) respectively.
Their theme this year is “A Paediatrician’s Journey: Triumphs and Tears”. The event aims to inspire students interested in medicine and paediatrics, allowing them to consider whether to pursue a medical career. 4 paediatricians are invited to speak at each university, where they will share their experience and answer questions from participants.
