On Open Day our campus in Kowloon Tong will be open for visitors to meet our teachers and management team and explore activities suitable for ages 1 - 4 years.

開放日當天，位於九龍塘的校園將開放給訪客參觀，屆時可與我們的專業老師和管理團隊交流，並體驗適合一至四歲兒童的活動。

It is with immense pride and gratitude that we share the results of our recent charitable initiatives. Thanks to your overwhelming generosity on Dress Casual Day, our school community raised an incredible $26,990 for the Community Chest. We are thrilled to announce that our collective efforts have earned us the Third Highest Per Capita Award for an educational institution—a testament to the big hearts within our small community.
Furthermore, through the World Vision "Your Red Packet 2026" campaign, we raised $4,800 to support vital WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) programmes in Africa. These funds will directly transform lives in water-scarce regions by:
- Constructing boreholes to provide reliable access to clean drinking water.
- Building hand washing facilities to safeguard children’s health.
- Installing Ventilated Improved Pit (VIP) latrines in schools to reduce disease and create a dignified, healthy learning environment.

我們懷著無比的自豪與感激之情，在此分享近期京斯敦參與的慈善活動之成果。感謝各位在公益金便服日展現出的慷慨熱心，我們學校社群共籌得港幣 $26,990 的驚人善款。我們更欣然宣佈，憑藉大家的共同努力，本校榮獲了「教育機構組別 — 人均最高籌款獎第三名」。這充分印證了我們這個溫馨的校園中，每個人都擁有一顆寬大無私的愛心。
此外，透過世界宣明會的「利是全送暖 2026」活動，我們共籌得港幣 $4,800，用於支持非洲重要的清潔（水、環境衛生及個人衛生）項目。這些資金將透過以下方式，直接改善缺水地區居民的生活：
- 挖掘深井：提供可靠且清潔的飲用水；
- 增設洗手設施：保障學童的身體健康；
- 在校園興建改良式通風旱廁 (VIP)：減少疾病傳播，為學生營造尊嚴與健康兼具的學習環境。

Our 4 and 5 Year Old classes have also been busy wrapping up their "How the World Works" Unit of Inquiry, where they have spent several weeks exploring the central idea that people design tools and structures to solve problems. The children took a deep dive into the mechanics of simple machines, discovering the practical uses of pulleys, screws, and wedges in their daily lives. This hands-on investigation extended into the world of engineering as the students tested the stability of various buildings and bridges, even experimenting with the forces of magnetism. A highlight of the unit was seeing the students apply their knowledge by building their own bridges and using "junk modelling" to bring their unique designs to life. It was wonderful to see their problem-solving skills in action as they transitioned from theoretical concepts to tangible creations, a process they proudly shared with their families during the recent Mini Exhibition.

京斯敦四歲與五歲級的學生們也忙碌地為「世界如何運作」探究單元畫下句點。過去幾週，他們圍繞「人們設計工具與結構來解決問題」這一中心思想展開深入探索。孩子們仔細研究了簡單機械的原理，發現滑輪、螺絲與楔形物在日常生活中的實際應用。這項動手探究更延伸至工程領域；他們測試了各種建築物與橋樑的穩定性，甚至嘗試了磁力的作用。本單元的一大亮點，是看見學生們運用所學知識，親手搭建橋樑，並利用「回收材料模型」將自己獨特的設計化為真實作品。從理論概念到具體創作，孩子們在過程中所展現的問題解決能力令人欣喜；而這份成果，他們也在近期舉辦的小型展覽會中，驕傲地與家人分享。

A major highlight of the month was our 2 Year Old AM Classes embarking on their very first unaccompanied field trip with their teachers! As part of their exciting Transportation Unit, the children traveled to "Harbour Station" at the Wanchai waterfront, and the journey there was just as thrilling as the destination. While riding through the city, the children eagerly spotted buses, trucks, taxis, and mini-buses, with the trip through the Cross-Harbour Tunnel serving as a definite favorite. Upon arrival, our young explorers were fascinated by the retired KCR train, where they had the chance to investigate the tracks and explore the carriage from both the inside and out. The maritime views added another layer of wonder, as the children observed ferries and boats sailing across the water as well as canoes and duck boats. It was a milestone moment for our youngest learners, who displayed wonderful independence and curiosity throughout this hands-on adventure!

本月的一大亮點，是兩歲級上午班的孩子們首次在沒有家長陪同下，跟隨老師外出實地考察！配合他們充滿趣味的「交通工具」單元，前往灣仔海濱的「火車站」，沿途的旅程本身與目的地同樣令人興奮。當巴士駛過市區時，孩子們興奮地辨認著巴士、貨車、的士和小巴，其中穿越海底隧道的路段更是最受歡迎的環節。抵達後，我們的小小探索家們對退役的九廣鐵路列車深感著迷，他們有機會近距離觀察路軌，並從車廂內外仔細探索。維港景色更添一層驚奇，孩子們看到了航行在海面上的渡輪、船隻，還有獨木舟與鴨子船。對我們最年幼的學習者而言，這是一次里程碑式的經歷，他們在這場親身體驗的冒險中展現了令人讚嘆的獨立性與好奇心！

We would like to extend a huge, heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful parents who participated in our Book Mum and Book Dad program this term! There is something truly magical about seeing a child’s face light up when their parent walks through the classroom door, book in hand. Your presence didn't just provide a delightful break in the day; it helped foster a genuine love for storytelling and showed our students that reading is a treasure to be shared. We are so grateful for the time you took out of your busy schedules to ignite our students' imaginations and build such special memories in our Kindergarten community. Next month parents of children in the 2 Year Old Class will have the opportunity to come and read to their child’s class. We hope to see many of you take advantage of this special opportunity!

Our 3 Year Old classes have embarked on an inspiring journey with their final unit of the year, "How We Express Ourselves," which focuses on the vibrant world of performance and the arts. The students dived headfirst into this unit by exploring the magic of colors and the science of color mixing, providing a foundation for their own creative expressions. To deepen their understanding, the children studied the iconic styles of famous artists such as Kandinsky, Van Gogh, Po***ck, Mondrian, Arcimboldo, Picasso, Monet, and Yayoi Kusama. It has been a joy to watch our young artists try their hand at recreating some of these masterpieces, experimenting with everything from bold geometric shapes and swirling starscapes to playful "dot" patterns and abstract splatters. This hands-on immersion into the work of the greats is helping the children discover the many unique ways they can share their own feelings and ideas with the world.

我們的三歲級孩子們展開了年度最後一個充滿啟發的單元「我們如何表達自己」，聚焦於繽紛的表演與藝術世界。他們首先探索色彩的魔力與混色原理，為自己的創意表達奠定基礎。為了深化理解，他們進一步認識了多位著名藝術家的標誌性風格，如康丁斯基、梵谷、波洛克、蒙德里安、阿爾欽博多、畢卡索、莫內、草間彌生等。看著我們的小藝術家嘗試重現這些大師作品，大膽實驗幾何形狀、漩渦星夜、趣味圓點圖案與抽象潑灑，真是一大樂事。透過親身體驗這些偉大藝術家的創作，孩子們正逐步發現，原來有這麼多獨特的方式，可以將自己的感受與想法分享給這個世界！

The end of April was marked by a truly significant milestone as our 4 and 5 Year Old classes hosted their IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) Mini Exhibition. This special event provided a platform for our students to demonstrate the impressive range of skills, knowledge, and understanding they have cultivated throughout the year. While the exhibition primarily focused on the "How the World Works" Unit of Inquiry, it also showcased elements of daily school life and previous units. It was inspiring to see the children take full ownership of their learning, confidently leading the sessions and sharing their work with their parents. Families also enjoyed a unique look into our Music and Movement programme, as our music teacher led engaging activities that highlighted the learning taking place in the music room. We are incredibly proud of our students for their leadership and communication throughout the process, and we thank all the families who attended to encourage their children and celebrate their enthusiasm for school life.

四月底，我們的四及五歲級迎來了一項深具意義的里程碑，學生們舉辦了國際文憑小學項目（IBPYP）小型展覽會。這場特別活動為小朋友提供了一個平台，讓他們展示過去一年對學習所累積的豐富技能、知識與理解。雖然展覽主要聚焦於「世界如何運作」的探究單元，但也融入了日常校園生活及過往單元的學習元素。令人最感動的是，學生們充分展現了對學習的主導權，自信地主持各個環節，並與家長分享自己的作品。家長們亦透過音樂及體育專科老師帶領的互動環節，深入認識了我們「音樂與律動課程」的學習歷程。我們為學生在整個過程中所展現的領導力與溝通能力感到無比驕傲，同時也衷心感謝所有出席活動的家庭，以鼓勵與掌聲陪伴孩子，共同慶祝他們對校園生活的熱愛。

Our recent Joyful Fruit Day was a vibrant success! The classrooms were filled with excitement as the children arrived, proudly carrying their favorite fruits from home. We saw a beautiful rainbow of fruit, from bright red strawberries to golden pineapples. It was wonderful to see the children so eager to try new flavors and celebrate healthy eating with their friends. We encourage you to keep this momentum going at home by making fruit a fun, daily part of your child’s routine—after all, nature’s candy is the sweetest treat of all!

我們近日舉辦的「開心水果日」圓滿成功，充滿繽紛活力！孩子們帶著從家中挑選的心愛水果來到校園，教室裡洋溢著興奮的氣氛。從鮮紅的草莓到金黃的鳳梨，我們看見了一道美麗的水果彩虹。最令人感動的是，孩子們如此熱切地嘗試新口味，與朋友一同慶祝健康飲食。誠摯邀請您在家中延續這份熱情，讓水果成為孩子日常生活中充滿樂趣的一部分 —— 畢竟，大自然的糖果，永遠是最甜蜜的滋味！
