How does a Grade 10 student coach over 300 delegates, chair at university-level conferences, and earn the title of one of Hong Kong's Outstanding Students?

We are proud to introduce a chairperson who perfectly balances local academic excellence with global diplomatic skill. Caleb is the ultimate example of how critical thinking and public speaking can empower local students to step out of their comfort zones, lead massive delegations, and tackle complex social issues head-on.

Caleb Leung is a Form 4 student at Ying Wa College studying under the HKDSE curriculum. Since entering the MUN circuit two years ago—winning Best Delegate at his very first conference—he has participated in more than 10 multilingual conferences and chaired at both the high school and university levels.

As a co-founder and Deputy Secretary-General of his school's MUN club, Caleb actively helps local students enter the world of diplomacy. Beyond MUN, he is deeply committed to STEAM and social service. Recognized as a finalist for the Hong Kong Outstanding Student Award, Caleb uses research and volunteering to empower youth to solve real-world problems.

BelBel is a Form 5 student from Ho Fung College. Although in the MUN circuit for just one year, he founded his school’s first-ever MUN team and coached over 20 complete beginners in just 4 months, guiding them to international awards and regional achievements.

Beyond MUN, BelBel brings over 5 years of competitive debating experience, including notable international championships. He is a seasoned coach for both junior and senior debaters, specializing in critical analysis and strategic foresight. For his chair debut at SCMUN 2026, BelBel offers a fresh, contemporary perspective and a proven knack for fostering a supportive, inclusive environment where all delegates can thrive.

A Champion for Inclusive Diplomacy: Meet Our 2026 Chairperson 🌍🏆

How do you chair prestigious international conferences and found a groundbreaking youth initiative all before finishing high school?

We are incredibly proud to introduce a chairperson who beautifully combines elite competitive success with community leadership. She is the perfect example of how MUN and public speaking can empower students to not only win global awards but to also create meaningful, real-world impact.

Zaynab Kola is a Grade 11 student at HKFYG Lee Shau Kee College and a driven Model UN chair and delegate. She has served as an Assistant Director at Oxford Model United Nations 2025, and as Chair at multiple conferences including See Change MUN 2025 and French International School MUN 2025.

Beyond the dais, Zaynab is the founder of Speechless x HKIYA, Hong Kong’s first public speaking, debate, and MUN initiative for Muslim youth. In its inaugural year, Speechless trained over 70 participants across 10+ schools and universities, fielded its first MUN delegation, and co-organized the Muslim Youth Forum with the HKU Muslim Students’ Association. Zaynab looks forward to bringing both experience and fun to supporting delegates at SCMUN 2026.

How does a Grade 8 student out-debate advanced age groups, secure 8 major awards, and master high-stakes crisis committees?

We are proud to introduce a brilliant young veteran who proves age is no barrier to diplomatic success. He is the perfect example of how MUN sharpens raw potential into dynamic storytelling, rapid impromptu thinking, and an unstoppable debate style.

St. John Szeto is a Grade 8 student at Singapore International School. Over his 2 years in the HKMUN circuit, he has thrived against older age groups, developing a unique style across 11 conferences and earning 8 total awards.

A former Deputy Chair at SISMUN, St. John’s expertise spans geopolitics, economics, cybersecurity, and advanced Crisis committees. Outside of MUN, he is a seasoned debater in British Parliamentary and Impromptu formats, competing individually in elite tournaments from IPDC to SIDPSC to master persuasive speech.

An Expert on the UK & HK Circuits: Meet Our 2026 Chairperson 🌍🏆

How do you lead award-winning delegations and champion student diplomacy across two different continents?

We are incredibly proud to introduce a chairperson who brings a truly international edge to our leadership team. Split between the UK and Hong Kong circuits, she is the perfect example of how MUN builds immense social awareness, academic excellence, and the diplomatic poise needed to command a global room.

Elicia Yip is a Year 11/Grade 10 student at Cheltenham Ladies’ College studying under the GCSE curriculum. She entered the MUN circuit two years ago, winning two awards at her very first Hong Kong conference. Since then, she has attended five conferences, chaired one, and taken home awards from three as she mastered both the UK and Hong Kong MUN circuits.

Currently holding a leadership role in her school's MUN club, Elicia is passionate about promoting student diplomacy and empowering young girls. Beyond MUN, she is a dedicated advocate for her school's student body, highly recognized for her academic commitment, social awareness, and deep interest in current political affairs.

(🎓 Beyond Perfect Grades: How Hong Kong Students Can Stand Out in Top University Admissions

For Hong Kong students aiming at the world’s most selective universities, strong grades, high test scores, and impressive activity lists are no longer enough.

Top universities are not simply looking for the “best student.” They are looking for students with a clear academic direction, a compelling personal narrative, and evidence that they will contribute meaningfully to the campus community.

That is where many high-achieving students get stuck.

They build long resumes but fail to communicate a distinctive identity. They chase more awards, more activities, and more credentials — yet their applications can still feel interchangeable.

Valerie Shek is a Grade 10 (Year 11) student at The Independent Schools Foundation Academy (IB programme). She has been an active participant in the MUN circuit for more than four years, delegating at 14 conferences and holding 11 conference leadership roles globally.

Her international roles include Assistant Secretary General and Assistant Director for the WHO at Yale University MUN (Taiwan), alongside serving twice as Assistant Director at Oxford University Global MUN. Locally, Valerie has served as Head Chair at 5 separate conferences and was a brilliant Chair at SCMUN last year. Outside of MUN, she is an experienced debater, a passionate child rights advocate, and an accomplished academic researcher.

Dominating the Debate Circuit: Meet Our 2026 Chairperson 🌍🏆

What does it take to out-debate 400 teams and command a global committee room?

We are incredibly proud to introduce a chairperson who defines academic edge and competitive excellence. She is living proof that masterclass diplomacy combines deep analytical strategy, versatility across both debate and MUN circuits, and a quiet confidence that delivers award-winning results under pressure.

Angela Qian is a grade 10 (year 11) student studying at German Swiss International International School, currently taking the IGCSEs curriculum. She has been in the MUN circuit since 2024, and has joined a total of 7 conferences, serving as a chair in 1 of them. Not only has she gained new insights and learnt from different perspectives, but she was awarded Outstanding delegate and Best Diplomat in conferences.

Aside from MUN conferences, she is also an active participant in national debate competitions in both WSDC and British parliamentary format, having been able to compete as quarterfinalists out of a total of 400 teams in Shanghai International Debate Open 2026, one of the biggest debate tournaments, as well as in Hong Kong Debate Open 2026.

From UNICEF Advocacy to Medical Research Labs: Meet Our 2026 Chairperson 🌍🔬

What happens when you combine competitive debate with real-world global impact?

We are proud to introduce a leader who embodies the high-achieving mindset we champion at See Change Education. She is living proof that true diplomacy goes beyond winning arguments—it’s about using deep academic research and humanitarian action to drive change on the world stage.

Gigi Chung Miu Chee is a Grade 10/Year 11 A-Levels student at Heep Yunn School. She has been in the MUN circuit for two years. Since 2024, she has participated in 10 conferences: 3 as a chair and the remaining ones as a delegate. Gigi has served as Head Chair at one conference and as Deputy Chair/Co-chair at two conferences in Hong Kong.

Beyond debating, Gigi also participates in children advocacy and youth engagement. She served as a UNICEF Young Envoy where she voiced her views on children’s rights through youth forums and at the UNICEF Laos Office.

Additionally, Gigi develops her interest in public health research through academic attachments with professors at The Hong Kong University and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, reflecting her commitment to raising awareness of global health issues.

From SCMUN First-Timer to Oxford & Harvard Champion: Meet Our 2026 Chairperson 🌍🏆

We are incredibly proud to introduce a leader whose journey is the perfect blueprint for the international pathways we build here at See Change Education. He is living proof that great leadership isn't about being the loudest voice in the room—it’s about sharp preparation, deep critical thinking, and a quiet confidence that commands the world stage.

Dani Van Olphen is a Model United Nations enthusiast who has participated in various local and international MUN conferences.

Dani’s first SCMUN in 2023 was also his first time being selected as Best Delegate and Best Position Paper Award for his division.

This earned him the reward of being invited to both Oxford MUN and Harvard MUN and again winning Best Position Paper award, despite being one of the youngest candidates.
Dani is actively involved in the HK MUN circuit and has served in many conferences and in different committees, his extensive interests in the fields of Politics, Philosophy and Economics, serving him well in these positions.

Dani’s strong sense of commitment to quality of position papers, and persuasive techniques to enhance team discussions, and quiet confidence in approaching challenging topics puts him in a unique position to chair the upcoming 2026 MUN after 3 solid years of working the circuit locally and internationally with a strong track record.
