Malvern College Pre-School Hong Kong

The K1 Pangolins had a lovely time celebrating a friend's birthday this week!

During Discovery Time in the tree house, they worked together to make a birthday card, sang a special birthday song and used colourful playdough to create pretend treats to share.

It was a fun way to develop their fine motor skills and creativity while also enjoying a celebration filled with kindness, friendship, and plenty of happy smiles.

At West Island Campus, the children have settled beautifully into their new routines, and Discovery Time has got off to a great start.

Our learning spaces are full of carefully chosen resources that help the children feel comfortable, confident and ready to have a go, and it’s been lovely to see everyone exploring, creating and making new friends.

Throughout the year, we’ll be encouraging the children to try new things, make their own choices and build their independence.

We’re looking forward to sharing all the special moments and exciting new learning experiences that lie ahead!

The K2 Orangutans have had a lovely first week back at school!

It's been wonderful to see everyone happily reconnecting with their teachers and friends, while also giving a warm welcome to some new classmates.

We have enjoyed getting to know one another through games, conversations and sharing stories of our summer holidays. During Discovery Time, everyone loved exploring the campus, following their curiosity and making new discoveries together.

There have already been lots of smiles, laughter and new friendships forming and we are all excited for the term ahead!

The K1 Pangolins have made a fantastic start to the new school year, settling in quickly and already developing lots of new skills.

They’ve had fun exploring their new surroundings, becoming familiar with their class pods and making new friends.

The children are already showing many of the Malvern Qualities, particularly independence, resilience, curiosity and collaboration, as they learn new routines and experience new things.

It’s been lovely to see their smiles, enthusiasm and eagerness to learn. It's going to be a great year ahead!

A Wonderful First Week ✨

There’s always something special about the first week - seeing our classrooms fill with laughter, curiosity and happy faces as children settle back into school.

This week, our children have been busy exploring, creating and discovering, indoors and out. They’ve been getting to know their new surroundings, settling into routines, building confidence and making new friends along the way.
What a lovely start to the year!

🌈The children in the Gorilla Class have quickly settled in, full of curiosity as they stepped into their brand-new classroom and got to know their new teachers.

Walking into the classroom, the children showed confidence and independence. They skillfully found their named cubbies and neatly put away their school bags and water bottles one by one. After putting their things away, they happily ran toward their familiar friends - building castles together in the block area, flipping through interesting picture books in the reading corner, and filling the classroom with cheerful laughter - new friends naturally blended through play.

The children took their first confident steps toward independence and social connection.

The first week of the new semester at Malvern is a warm and hopeful beginning -every day is a sparkling memory on their journey of growth.

走进教室，孩子们表现得自信又独立。他们熟练地找到写着自己名字，把自己的书包、水壶一件件放好，放好物品后，他们便雀跃着奔向熟悉的小伙伴，一起在积木区搭建城堡，在阅读角翻看有趣的绘本，教室里回荡着清脆的笑声。新朋友也在游戏中自然融入，友谊的种子在不经意间悄悄发芽。 孩子们更在独立与社交中迈出了自信的第一步。
新学期的第一周，在墨尔文，是一个充满温暖与希望的开始，每一天，都是成长路上闪闪发光的记忆。

Today is also a very special day as we welcome our Pre-Nursery children for their very first day of pre-school!
