🎓 K2 Graduation 2026🎓

Last Friday, we held our K2 Graduation, and it was a wonderful occasion for our little Malvernians from both our Coronation Circle and Island West campuses.

Our pupils showcased their talents with beautiful performances in both English and Chinese for all attendees, as well as accepting their graduation awards.

A huge thank you goes to our dedicated parents, staff, and the wider Malvern community for your unwavering support and care throughout this journey! While we will miss our K2 graduates, we are excited for them as they embark on the next chapter - starting Primary in the upcoming academic year!

Congratulations, K2 graduates! 🌟 We can’t wait to see all the amazing things you will achieve!

Our Pangolin children have been on a delicious adventure — seeing, smelling, and (of course!) tasting the colourful world of seasonal fruits! 🍊🍓🍍🍉

From feeling different textures to noticing vibrant colours, the children have enjoyed a rich sensory experience that sparked lots of questions, and plenty of fun.

The learning didn’t stop there! In the art area, the children created beautiful, bright paintings of fruit, then transformed into little mathematicians and scientists — weighing and comparing fruits, and even exploring which ones sink or float!

It’s been lovely to see their learning come to life through play, with lots of curiosity, laughter, and “wow” moments along the way!

The K2 Gorillas loved baking banana bread this week!

Everyone had fun mixing, pouring, stirring and mashing the bananas. As we carefully followed the recipe, we practised counting and measuring, helping us learn about numbers and quantities in a fun, hands-on way. We also learned lots of new words as we talked about the ingredients and the different steps needed to make our banana bread.

The children worked beautifully as a team, taking turns, sharing jobs, and helping their friends along the way.

Best of all, the classroom was filled with the delicious smell of freshly baked banana bread and lots of smiles as everyone proudly enjoyed their tasty treats!

The Red Pandas are ready for Big School! 🐼✨

Our Red Pandas have been talking about their new schools and drawing what they’re most looking forward to in Prep 1.

On their final K2 transition day, they enjoyed lunch with friends, explored their new classroom and met their Prep 1 teachers.

While they will miss Roxy the Red Panda and their Red Panda friends, they are thrilled about growing up and starting ‘big school’. There were smiles all round as we celebrated this lovely milestone and wished them well for their next adventure!

Our recent induction visit to the MCHK campus was designed to help our children make a smooth and confident transition into prep school.

The children spent time in a Year 1 classroom, getting a feel for school life. With support from teachers, they met new classmates, explored routines and enjoyed story time and games together.

They also ate a healthy lunch in the dining hall, practising everyday routines from queuing for food to eating together and clearing away their trays.

It was a hands-on visit that helped ease worries, build confidence and independence, and also added to their excitement.

While we will be sad to see them go, we are confident they will step calmly and happily into the next stage of their learning journey.

Our K2 Orangutan class stepped, slid and jumped their way through an exciting floor map game 🎶

Using a musical grid based on the traditional Moroccan folk song, A Ram Sam Sam, the children followed the rhythm by jumping on “A ram sam sam,” stepping carefully on marked symbols during “Guli guli,” and sliding smoothly as the music changed to “A rafiq.”

It was a fun, energetic session that helped them tune into rhythm and beat while building listening skills, coordination and spatial awareness through play, movement and music.

Have you ever seen a beach that is pink, black, orange, white or yellow? 🌈🏖️

Our little explorers took a closer look at what sand is made of and why beaches can look so different in colour. They were fascinated by what they discovered!

They then used salt (to represent sand) and chalk to create their very own rainbow sand in a bottle 🌟

It was a fun, hands-on activity that sparked curiosity, creativity, plenty of great conversations and a few messy fingers!

The K1 Bonobo children had a fun music and movement session inspired by Danish folk music, Seven Jump Dance

They joined in with a sequence of skipping, clapping and stomping and had a great time trying to remember the next move as it got trickier! There was lots of laughter as they practised balance and control too, from bending knees to lowering arms and heads.

It was a lovely music session that supported EYFS Expressive Arts and Design, helping our children enjoy music and dance together while building coordination, focus and confidence.

With the hot weather we have been having in Hong Kong, the beach has become the perfect classroom ☀️

The children showed fantastic curiosity and risk-taking as they explored floating and sinking in the sea using small boats. This simple activity sparked so much imaginative play, from sailing to Japan, to fishing for a beach BBQ and even trying to stay afloat in a passing typhoon!

Outdoor learning like this gives endless opportunities for imaginative play and helps to build creativity, vocabulary and communication skills and while having great fun!
