Kaho presented the work in progress of The Library at a workshop under the IEEE VR conference in Osaka. The Library is a VR animation with an interactive narrative driven by the gaze gestures of the viewer without the viewer’s awareness. The story is an extrapolation of the world created by Borges’ Library of Babel. A seemingly infinite library where all the books are made up of random combination of the alphabets.

For those who will attend the workshop tomorrow. Below is a reminder from artist Wong Chun Hoi:

1.我們會在4:00pm 於集合地點開始聲音漫步，敬請準時出席。 集合地點為尖沙咀海防道九龍公園南門入口（附圖位置）
2.由於整體步行時間為兩小時，請穿著舒適的衣服及鞋類，中途或許會下一點雨，但也許仍會是一個不錯的聲音浸步，請準備雨具
3.攜帶輕便物品
4.請帶一塊A4 大小左右的托板或硬板，以及一支筆，聲音漫步中會有一段畫圖的練習
5.放鬆心晴，打開耳蝸
6. (Optional) 如有輕便錄音機及耳機也可以帶備作自己的記錄之用，手提電話的錄音機也無妨

1. Let's gather at the meeting point ：Kowloon Park South Gate, Haiphong Road, Tsim Sha Tsui at 4:00pm. Please be punctual.
2. The duration of soundwalk will be around 2 hours. Please wear comfortable clothing and sneakers. and Please bring along your raincoat / umbrella in case of the unstable weather
3. Please bring as less as possible to make yourself walkable.
4. Prepare an A4 size writing pad and a pen. We will have a sound mapping drawing exercise.
5. Relax and be prepared to listen to everything around
6. (optional) Bring along your audio recording device (can be mobile phone) and a pair of earphone for personal documentation in the future projects if you want.

The final summer workshop will take place on 24/8! This time we will not be sitting in front of computers or wearing silly headsets. Instead, we will be out in the wild with artist/sound designer Wong Chun Hoi

Spatiality of sound is critical in the design of immersive environments. In this coming VR workshop, led by artist/sound designer Wong Chun Hoi, participants will experience a heightened awareness of the spatiality of sound through a guided soundwalk in Kownloon Park.

Rundown of the workshop:
1. Introduction to / inspiration of the knowledge and history of immersive sound environment
2. Experiencing sound parameters in different acoustic environments
3. Sound walk and sound mapping exercise
4. Evaluation and discussion on transforming the experience of sound walk to virtual environments.
