🌟 Ms XU Yingying Grace, BS (Hons) Supply Chain Management and Analytics
PolyU students 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗵 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗡, 𝗧𝗶𝗺 𝗢𝗨, 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗨𝗡, 𝗞𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗪𝗔𝗡𝗚, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗫𝗨 formed a team for the 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗛𝗞 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, tackling logistics challenges in Hong Kong’s retail sector with a focus on small shops selling dried seafood and health supplements.
Each member brought unique strengths — Hannah’s storytelling, Tim’s strategic insights, Harry’s financial expertise, Kane’s coordination, and Grace’s market analysis. Despite tight timelines and conflicting schedules, they applied data-driven decision-making to reach consensus. Training sessions introduced them to frameworks like 𝗣𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗟𝗘 and 𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, which they integrated into their solutions.
Presenting to industry judges was a highlight, and their efforts earned them 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿-𝗨𝗽 🏆. The experience taught them that teamwork, adaptability, and practical application of knowledge are essential for success.

🌟 Mr HUANG Beichen, Ph.D, Department of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence
Beichen’s 𝙀𝙫𝙤𝙂𝙞𝙩 is more than an award-winning research project — it’s a tool driving real-world change. By treating code as an evolving organism, EvoGit uses decentralized agents to autonomously maintain and update software.
After winning 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 at the 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗫 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗨𝗖 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘆, Beichen immediately applied the framework at PolyU, using it to automatically generate next-generation interactive slides for DSAI courses. This “win-win” solution saves professors time while ensuring students have the most up-to-date resources.
Through this journey, Beichen mastered complex mathematics and the art of patience. His work envisions a future where AI documentation and code remain in sync autonomously, proving that university-led research can scale into global solutions benefiting society as a whole. 🌍✨

🌟 Mr CHEN Zekai Christopher, BSc (Hons) Hotel and Tourism Management
🌟 Ms QIU Shu Ru Charlotte, BSc (Hons) Event and Experience Management
🌟 Mr WAN Chun Wing Thomas, BSc (Hons) Hotel Management
PolyU students 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘀, 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿 turned challenges into opportunities on their path to the 𝗣𝗔𝗧𝗔 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗯𝗹𝗮𝘇𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱.
Managing a chapter of only six members during their final year, they faced daunting time-management hurdles and participation shortages. By adopting a 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆, they partnered with other student societies to boost engagement for site visits to aviation and luxury hospitality hubs.
Thomas’s leadership kept the team organized across time zones, while Charlotte and Christopher executed end-to-end planning for field trips in Macau and Hong Kong. With sponsorship from SHTM and guidance from Dr Neil LI, they successfully showcased their impact in Bangkok.
This journey taught them that true leadership means prioritizing the team, embracing adaptability, and turning obstacles into opportunities for innovation. 🏆✨
