Human‑Dog Coexistence in Cheung Chau: Reshaping Stray Dogs’ Community Role and Shared Future

KWOK Tsz Ki Kira, LAW Ching Ling, LEE Ka Ki

In Cheung Chau, stray dogs are often labelled as a “problem” rather than recognised as part of the community, creating a cycle of misunderstanding and blame. PAWJECT shifts the focus from managing strays to reshaping community perception. Through school workshops, community publications and open‑source teaching resources, the project encourages residents to reimagine the role of stray dogs and take small, collective steps towards everyday human‑animal coexistence.

Only We Know – Sofy Center-in series sanitary napkins
YIM Pui Yee Melody

For teenage girls in Hong Kong, feeling shy about periods is completely normal because of old taboos at school, at home, and in society. You don't have to force yourself to change or be open about it. Sofy understands that, and we want to be like a close friend who stays by your side. That's why Sofy "Center-in" series is designed to be small and easy to hide. We just know what you're going through, and that's enough. There are situations that only girls experience—things you don't need to say out loud because other girls just understand. Sofy gets those unspoken moments. You don't have to explain. We already know.

Festival of Light
Industrial Ephemeral Theater
HO Cheuk Yan

This project focuses on overlooked shadow periods and underused spaces within industrial areas. Through temporary street furniture and light-based interventions, it transforms unidentifiable ‘non-sites’ into meaningful places of temporal discovery. By responding to specific lighting conditions, the design encourages dynamic urban occupation and reactivates industrial infrastructure through everyday, participatory experiences.

ISLA AYLLU Peng Chau Semi-Rural Regeneration Design
SU Yuting, LI Kelin, YU Rui

Set in Peng Chau, this project understands the island as a fragile yet adaptive semi‑rural system shaped by low‑density villages, coastal ecology and informal community practices. Rather than imposing urban models, it proposes small‑scale, low‑impact and context‑specific interventions that respond to spatial fragmentation, environmental exposure and community dynamics, addressing overlooked micro‑ecologies while building community resilience.

「有愁Online報!」 Grief? Online Relief! – Turning all your offline suffering into online revenge
NG Wai Tat Billy

Pure happiness is a little rebellion – as adults, society teaches us to be mature and to swallow our frustrations, so we can only take revenge in our imaginations. But deep down, we still secretly crave the chance to prank the people we dislike. Now, TalesRunner becomes your emotional outlet. We can project that desire and resentment onto in-game opponents, using classic TalesRunner prank props like a child – freely and without consequences – turning offline suffering into online revenge.

Artquerade – An Interactive Web-Based Canvas transforming fragmented drawing processes into easy, enjoyable, bonding dynamics!
CHENG Ho Ping Aysu

Collaborative art is the process in which multiple individuals join together and create a piece of artwork, every contribution visibly shaping the outcome. After the pandemic, online art collaboration has become widespread. However, artists often feel anxious when facing a blank canvas, hesitate to join collaborations due to a lack of drawing skills, and struggle to complete works because of limited time. So I have made a multiplayer web-based collaborative canvas for artists and art lovers, known as Artquerade. I envision a beginner-friendly, collaborative digital art platform designed to overcome blank canvas anxiety with time constraints, while users can enjoy shared bonding with other players through an integrated library of difficulty-labelled templates embedded directly into shared canvases.

Zero Endurance – End the silence of suffering; stop letting throat discomfort be your "Art of Endurance"
MOK Hoi Ying

In Chinese culture, "Nin" (忍) symbolizes extreme suppression. A "Ninja" is someone who stoically endures throat pain. When throat discomfort strikes, Gen Z tends to turn into "Ninjas," attempting to suppress every cough through sheer willpower, mistaking the endurance of pain for maturity. However, endurance is not a virtue; it is merely a painful punishment for your throat. Ryukakusan Direct evolves "traditional medicine" into a "high-efficiency instant solution." With its waterless, direct-to-throat action, it helps you tear off that fake "Ninja" mask. Stop wasting time practicing the useless "Art of Endurance." Solve the problem directly—"Zero Endurance" is the new professional attitude.

Drain Cleaner Mobility Device|VacuMover
FUNG Wing Yan Rainie

With extreme rainfall becoming more frequent, clogged roadside drains are a hidden cause of urban flooding, placing sanitation workers in hazardous conditions. VacuMover reimagines the vacuum cleaner as a robust outdoor mobility device, integrating autonomous movement with professional wet-and-dry vacuuming. By removing the need for manual scooping and heavy lifting, the design reduces workplace injury risks and significantly improves everyday working conditions for frontline cleaners.
