A verified page 'Buddha's Teaching' is claiming Buddhism not to be a religion. This is very unfortunate, and specially it is coming from a page supposed to be disseminating true information. Buddhism is a religion. Every religion has its own characteristics and teachings. Buddhism is not just a random religion. It is one of the major world religions followed by millions of people. If all religions have the same features and characteristics and teachings, we would not have so many religions in the world. This is very unfortunate that some people ignorantly claiming to be experts and spreading false information.

I am seeking your important attention on the attacks being carried out on the indigenous Buddhist communities in the Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh by Bengali settlers, backed by the security forces. I hope your attention will help to widen focus on these issues, which are rarely discussed on international stages. Every year we see Buddhists in this regions being attacked, women are r***d and all the communities are facing slow genocide. There are diverse and vibrant Buddhist communities in Chittagong Hill Tracts, who have been facing genocides and atrocities for decades. They deserve our attention and strongest condemnation.
