For the past five years, AISHK has celebrated Science Week with the premiere of a thrilling sci-fi film. šŸŽ„

This year’s film, House & Pixel, is a crime mystery, featuring Secondary students and teachers from Lower Primary.

Set in a school much like AISHK, but in another dimension, staff and students are preparing for their annual Science Fair when disaster strikes. On the eve of the event, the technological SEED, the Fair’s biggest attraction, is stolen!

With suspicion falling on the teachers, young detective House and her robotic sidekick Pixel must follow the clues, uncover the truth and save the school before it is too late.

House & Pixel combines mystery, adventure and science in a fun-filled story for audiences of all ages.

House & Pixel premiered at the Primary Assembly on 20 August and will make its Secondary debut on 28 August. Watch the trailer here.

Bullying No Way Week is Australia’s leading initiative for bullying prevention in schools. It’s an opportunity for schools to foster a shared understanding of bullying behaviours and highlight strategies for their prevention.

This week students have watched videos and had discussions about kindness in class and in assemblies and everyone is invited to contribute to the kindness paper chain - which will wrap the school in kindness!

AISHK Year 8 student recently attended Denmark International Piano Week after receiving a scholarship and invitation from the World Piano Teachers Association and European Piano Teachers Association. The programme brought together students, professors, piano teachers and families from more than 20 national backgrounds for a week of learning, performance and collaboration. Only 50 people aged 9-28 are invited to take part in International Piano Week. To be invited is an exceptional achievement!

Reflecting on the experience, he said, "The highlight of the camp was meeting new people from all over the world. From professors and students to parents, making new friends and musical connections was an amazing experience. What I noticed most was how positive everyone was about music and piano. It brought us together and became a universal language that helped us connect, learn from one another and grow as musicians.ā€

During the programme, he took took part in a range of learning and performance opportunities, including masterclasses, workshops and recital performances.

School principals are more than educators: they are community builders, mentors, crisis navigators and advocates for every child’s wellbeing and success - Australian Primary Principals Association

On Australia’s Primary Principals Day, we celebrate Jane Thomas, AISHK’s Head of Primary, for her care, vision and commitment to student learning and wellbeing.

The work of a primary leader is particularly significant. These are the years in which children form their earliest impressions of themselves as learners. Under Jane's leadership, our students develop the confidence, curiosity, resilience, and sense of belonging that will support them throughout their education and beyond.

Thank you, Jane, for helping Primary students grow into confident, capable and lifelong learners.

Some school days are unforgettable. Such as the day when an all-time football legend comes to campus and gives you special advice about looking out for your players and getting in the right position. Today, AISHK welcomed international footballing legend, Lilian Thuram. Thuram is the most capped player in the history of the French national team, with 142 appearances between 1994 and 2008. He also played centre-back for Frances' winning World Cup team in 1998.

Thuram joined AISHK football players for fun five-a-side matches. He high-fived players and signed student's shirts and boots. The AISHK soccer Roos had a wonderful time meeting Thuram, they said,

"Lilian was fun on the pitch and really kind to us."
"I think sports is for everyone and everyone could enjoy today meeting a legend like Lilian."
"He spent a long time talking to me and giving me advice - he talked so much the Juventus mascot, Jay the Zebra, joined in!"

Thuram's visit to campus was made possible thanks to Juventus Academy Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Football Festival. Thank you to Juventus for an unforgettable morning at AISHK!
